The HobbyWing Mini AeroScout RTF Electric Airplane (770mm) was inspired by the popular AeroScout S, with a "mini" size that makes it an ideal compact trainer model that can easily be flown in large parks, soccer or football fields and other suitable spaces where larger models can't typically be flown.

This model features an incredibly durable EPP construction with the same pusher power configuration as its larger counterpart for improved safety, plus better propeller and motor protection, making it a durable and dependable platform. This allows first-time RC pilots to learn to fly successfully with an extremely durable hobby-quality trainers for less than $100. It's also extremely easy to assemble and repair if needed because, unlike other similar class models, the major airframe parts including the wing and tail simply bolt or snap into place…no glue or tape required. Best of all it's a Ready-To-Fly (RTF) aircraft so it includes a controller/transmitter equipped with 2.4GHz technology, AA batteries for the transmitter, plus a rechargeable LiPo flight battery and convenient USB charger. That means there's nothing extra to buy or provide so you can get to flying!

Features:
  • Smaller version of the AeroScout S that's conveniently sized so it can be flown at soccer/sports fields, large parks and in other suitable areas

HobbyZone Mini AeroScout RTF Electric Airplane (770mm)
Bought this plane for my 9 year old at a local hobby store. Never was able to get it to take off and stay airborne. Power just didn't seem to be there for the weight. Fuselage broke when my son tried to hand launch it when I was at the controls. He held onto the plane too far away from the wing and snapped the foam. Took it home and glued and taped it up. The fix held but the plane never flew. Spend a few more $ and get the Sport Cub S, 4 Channel flight.

The big Aeroscout is one of my best planes. The mini is the worst. Everything about the mini is just Terrible!

HobbyZone Mini AeroScout RTF Electric Airplane (770mm)
I would not recommend purchasing this airplane. It refused to climb into the air-I don't think it had enough power to get it going. The horizontal stabilizer would not respond to my inputs, no matter what settings were on the transmitter. After only one slight impact with the ground, the tab on the canopy broke off. It would steer, but that was all it would do. Do not buy this for a kid learning to fly-they will be sorely disappointed.

HobbyZone Mini AeroScout RTF Electric Airplane (770mm)
I'm surprised to see the poor reviews about this plane, it has been fantastic for me. I think this or the Duet are the best starter planes, but the duet needs less space to fly then this one. It can take a beating and the prop doesn't break when you crash which is key for learning as a beginner. It can do flips if you dive first to build speed and can fly inverted but it is challenging! I've had it out in winds a little over 10mph and it's a very fun challenge, especially the landing!
