This is the Hobbywing Platinum Pro V4 120A ESC, for use with 500-550 sized Helicopters.
One of a Kind Design
The elegant case is made from aluminum alloy material. Each cooling slot and its fin were carefully designed and arranged, and the case has gone through oxidation, coloring and edge-highlighting.
Innovative Heat Dissipation Structure
The innovative "duo" stacking structure allows all components on both sides of the printed circuit boards to quickly conduct heat to the aluminum case.
Excellent Motor Speed Governing
The high performance 32-bit processor, combined with advanced algorithm, makes the motor speed-governing excellent for different conditions. With the adjustable sensitivity of speed-governing, every pilot can find the most suitable settings for his helicopter.
Super Soft Start-Up
The Platinum 120A makes the motor start extremely soft and avoids tail-drift issues. The start-up time is adjustable within 8 to 25 seconds. This will definitely create a perfect starting point for every flight.
Super BEC
The built-in switch mode BEC with a continuously adjustable output voltage, range from 5V to 8V (steps: 0.1V). It is certain to put out the power you need for rapid, precise steering servo operation.
Great Current Endurance
A high-quality and high-voltage MOSFET with a great current endurance guarantees the ESC's safety especially in a extremely high power demanding situation.
Built-in sparkproof circuit effectively eliminates sparks produced at the "powering-on" moment and prolongs the connectors lifespan.

Hobbywing Platinum Pro 120A V4 120 Amp ESC
Absolutely love it. Setup is easy, runs cool... it's a component I don't worry about. Governor is on point, programming is done without a PC. It fits all my needs. The cooling fins also allow for the included wire ties to strap in between. Excellent design feature. Not to mention, it looks very good.

Works great love it. Minus 1 star because the build looks identical to the specktrum brand avion or whatever same input locations and the capacitors are both the same. Yet this one is rated 220amps amd the spectrum 100amps only thing just different is the casing plus the software used inside of it.

Yes i recommend, i purchased to get reverse functions for my Futaba. SPEKTRUM AND THERE ESCs dont work with futaba controllers to unlock there features unless you own a spektrum remote. This is my direct replacement for a avion 100A. ESC THAT WENT INTO A DRACO

I bought 2 of these to put in 2 EDF jets specifically for the reverse thrust option. One worked flawlessly. The other would not when the reverse option was selected in the Brake type category using the multifunction LCD program box. It worked fine in the disable, normal and proportional options. I contacted Hobbywing USA by email and was given several options to try, which never worked. I had already wired it up for my jet plus it would have cost as much as the item itself just to return it. I live in Bermuda. So I am stuck with it. It works in the normal mode but not in the reverse mode that I bought it for. I guess I lucked out with a faulty one. Hesitant to purchase another one!

Awesome piece of kit here. The governor works well, although it’s a bit tedious to set up and you need a separate program box to do it. Stays cool, and the fit and finish is excellent.

Hobbywing Platinum Pro 120A V4 120 Amp ESC
Amazing ESC. I bought it to upgrade the stock ESC on my Trex 500X (RCE-BL80X) which refused to work properly in governor mode, almost leading to a crash. This Hobbywing 120A weighs about the same as the stock, but slightly longer. The ESC bullet connectors fit the motor precisely. Most importantly, Hobbywing 120A doesn't get hot and keeps the motor from getting hot. The motor sounds much happier at max governed rpm. The setup with the Hobbywing programming box was a breeze. I highly recommend this ESC, it exceeded my expectations.
