ESC Features:

  • High Reliability & Durability: Built with the most rugged and high-quality components and coupled with cutting-edge firmware, the EZRun MAX10 SCT is able to deliver unmatched power and performance for even the most hardcore of racing applications, but is also responsive enough to protect itself from damage due to overloading due to physical abuse, overuse or even human error.
  • Great Flexibility & Versatility: With incredible acceleration capabilities and a rock-solid, stable output, the MAX10 SCT can handle instant full-torque start-ups for wheelies, high-speed racing on straightaways and powering through the bumpiest terrain. The user will have the choice of adjusting the ESC parameters as per his preference and ability.
  • Applicable for All Weather Conditions: The waterproof and dust-proof design allows the MAX10 SCT to be used in all weather conditions without any issue of damage caused to the ESC from water or dust.
  • High Voltage Built-in BEC: The MAX10 SCT has adopted the world's first HV built-in BEC with an output current of up to 3 Amps and a switchable output voltage of 6-7.4V. The high voltage BEC is designed to handle today's high voltage servos on demand used by 1/10 scale vehicles.

  • Built-in temperature sensor and sensor port protect the motor from damage due to overheat when pairing EZRUN 3660 G2 with a EZRUN MAX10 SCT ESC.
  • O-ring seal fitted between the front end bell and motor case isolates screw holes from inner parts to prevent liquid or dust from getting inside and protect motor from damage.
  • Special design implemented by the motor case (the end attaches to the front end bell) isolates inner coils from outside to protect winding from being damaged by overlong screws.
  • Special technology for temperature control implemented by this motor guarantees less heat more efficiency (efficiency rate of up to 90%).
  • CNC machined aluminum housing, high purity copper windings, advanced rotor structure, high-quality alloy steel output shaft, high-precision bearings for high durability and smoothness.
  • Rebuild-able design (partially rebuild-able) for routine maintenance effectively prolongs the motor life and raises the motor efficiency.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 SCT Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo (3200kV)
Bought this for my T4.2 TF that is a retired racer. I was originally gonna go with the 3800kv from Castle but i'm happy I went with this system instead. I have converted my T4.2 from 48 pitch to 32 pitch so i'm running 54/13 gearing. My spur is steel as I do plan on running 3S.

Running on 2S, it runs nice and cool. Motor temp never went over 115 degrees, and I pushed it. Ran it for about 50 mins on a single battery before I gave up on trying to hit LiPo cutoff. Both cells were at 3.7 volts when I put my charger on it for storage. Pretty impressed with that with my driving.

Running on 3S, temps were also very good. Roughly 145 degrees and I also pushed it. It ran for about 20 mins or so before my transmission blew up. But that was expected. Each cell had 4 volts left. I already have ordered a new steel diff and steel idle gear.

Overall i'm pretty happy with this system. Lots of power but doesn't kill your batteries within 10-15 mins.

If your looking for cheap but good quality system, i'd would recommend this one. I would buy again.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 SCT Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo (3200kV)
Solid combo for 1/10 trucks. I’m using it with my Traxxas Slash Ultimate and have zero complaints by now. The Max10 Combo is so powerful, I’m easy hitting 80 km/h with 15T pinion on 3S. Temp is so low with mid-range cooler and cogging is almost unnoticeable like on sensered combos. If you are upgrading from stock Traxxas electronics, you will need new pinion to fit 5mm shaft.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 SCT Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo (3200kV)
So I bought this for my slash 4x4 because the castle sidewinder sct I had in it poured out the smoke of death about a week ago and all I have to say is what an amazing product. The quality is great and very well build, great response no lag at all. It came with everything you need except the battery connector witch is no problem. It does come with a pinion but it's 48p. I would suggest getting a program card and it's a little slow on 2s but I'm only running 14/54 gearing so if I gear up a little i think that should take care of it. Other then that amazing product I think hobbywing is my new go to!

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 SCT Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo (3200kV)
I'm happy with this combo got the 3200kv motor and 120amp ESC and and destroyed my aluminum center driveshaft and had found a steel one and now it's definitely straight I would recommend getting MacKenzie's steel drive shaft for that car because with this motor the original aluminum one just going to twist so much torque I like it I can't wait for the neighbor he's going to surprised when I get them off the starting line I'm waiting till I get the foam tires I'm looking at I might try 35 shore or 42 see if they can last longer.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 SCT Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo (3200kV)
This is an amazing motor combo, i upgraded from the xl5 rustler 2wd. WOW, it is so much better. The 3200kv motor is a good motor to run because it has slightly lower kv that the velinion 3500, so you can run bigger gears to go faster. Make sure you get belted tires for it as well cause I’ve already blown my tires off the rim.

Works great. Chose this brand of part and this specific website because of recommendations from several friends and/or acquaintances that have been racing for years. Good quality product and surprisingly timely shipping and delivery.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 SCT Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo (3200kV)
I previously purchased the 3660SL 4000kV to pair with a HobbyWing 80A ESC I already had on hand, and it worked well, so I decided to pick up this combo for my next project. Great specs for the price, especially if you need this particular kV rating, which Castle oddly hasn't yet offered, despite it becoming very popular. With many 1/10th-scale trucks moving up to 3S and even 4S, higher kV ratings don't make that much sense today. 3200kV is extremely versatile, and the longer can means this model also has a bit more torque down low. In my Pro-Line Pro Fusion SC, this combo is fast on 2S and screams on 3S.

A few things to know about this kit:
(1) mine very oddly came with XT90 connectors pre-installed. I was totally shocked when I opened the box and saw this, as it's certainly not in the product description or photos. My hunch is that I got an ESC from a leftover batch of products made for Arrma users before Arrma switched (was forced?) over to EC5/iC5 connectors. Anyway, rather than cut the connector off and re-solder (which would be pretty tough given the huge gauge of the wires on the ESC), I got an XT90 to Deans adapter, as I run Deans on my batteries.
(2) there is some cogging right off idle in this combo, and I experienced the same thing with my 3660SL 4000Kv motor. Not an issue for a basher, but for more scale applications, it's not ideal.
(3) there is an option in the ESC programming to switch between 6V and 7.4V BEC, which is great if you run a high-voltage servo. Not sure that the similarly-priced models from Castle have that (the Mamba models do, but they are way more expensive).

Overall, I'm pleased with this setup. Look around at all the new RCs being launched by Horizon Hobby from all their brands and you'll see this kV range is what they're using (first Arrma with its BLX3600 and then Spektrum with its Firma 3150kV), but HobbyWing was offering this long before Horizon caught up with the times!

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 SCT Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo (3200kV)
Running this setup in my 2wd monster Slash with 28/86 gearing at the moment.
Haven't tried 3s yet but after a 30min hard bash session on 2s, in 95° weather, the motor and ESC were barely even warm to the touch!

Loads of power, very smooth low end with no cogging whatsoever.
I highly recommend this setup.

Came with an XT90 plug installed

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 SCT Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo (3200kV)
I got this for my son’s brushed Stampede. There were minor clearance issues with the back of the motor and the chassis. Other than that I would say it’s the perfect motor for the Stampede. It’s running a 14t pinion on 2s lipos. It seems to be a pretty reliable all around motor combo for this size.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 SCT Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo (3200kV)
I'm really liking this combo so far for my Axial Yeti Score. I'm running a 60s/20p with it, and on 3s..I've clocked it at 45mph. (worth noting, I swapped the transmission gears for overdrive to achieve this speed). It's never over heated, and I like the added protection of it having it's own temp sensor to shut down if it does get too hot. I think I've seen temps up to 125 a few times, and that's about it.

The only thing I will say, at least for the yeti, is that the esc "tray" or "stand" that comes with it is pretty cheap. One eyelet cracked on it so far, so I'll have to mock something up in the future once it fully breaks. Other than that, nice combo, it's treating me really well so far, and I'd definitely recommend it.

Hobbywing EZRun MAX10 SCT Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo (3200kV)
Ran this esc and motor combo for 3 battery pacs and its now completely dead. No flashing lights of any kind. Says its capable of 2s-4s but if your going to run 4s, make sure you put the extra provided capacitors in between the esc and battery to keep from frying your esc. I think thats what happened to me. The Manual says if your going to run it "hard" then the capacitors are reccomended. Didnt think I was running it hard but I guess an open field on 4s for 3 minutes is too much for the esc. Motor was and still is awesome. Esc on the other hand is not so great imo.
