This builders kit offers unrivaled micro class performance thanks to included aluminum shocks and brass wheel weights, combined with the ability to build the model from scratch and a clear body that allows you to personalize the truck, for a truly one of a kind build. Plus, all the electronics are included, so there is no need to buy additional parts! Plus, you get pre-built assemblies, with the same FPV ready waterproof electronics, lithium battery, transmitter, 2-in-1 ESC/receiver and 3 wire servo that is included with the ready to run option, making this kit an excellent choice for seasoned builders, or someone who has never built a kit.

The proven CR-18 chassis offers incredible axle articulation with minimal bump steer thanks to superior linkage geometry and panhard system. Aluminum shocks are included to keep the suspension moving freely. A super low 104:1 ratio transmission combined with a ring and pinion drive system provides the low end torque necessary for performance, without sacrificing top speed like a worm drive system. Finally, true beadlock wheels secure super grippy scale size tires over included brass wheel weights, allowing the CR-18 to stay planted while it navigates technical terrain.

The CR-18 kit includes a highly detailed clear Rushmore bodies with classic lines and included scale accessories to provide a realistic look out of the box, while offering an ideal base to add personal custom touches and create the rig YOU want. HobbyPlus CR-18 Rushmore Builders Edition 1/18 Scale Mini Crawler KIT
There will be mixed opinions about this kit I'm sure. If you enjoy assembling kits, you may or may not enjoy this one. Just depends. If you are looking for an extreme challenge, this kit may not be for you, because some of the more difficult parts are pre-assembled. If you're looking for a mild challenge, or like assembly kits regardless of difficulty level, give this one a try. I'm looking forward to putting it to the test on the course soon!

HobbyPlus CR-18 Rushmore Builders Edition 1/18 Scale Mini Crawler KIT
I wish I'd bought a second SCX24 instead of this. I was really excited to build this "kit" but I should have looked into it further because it comes in only a few sub-assemblies. It drives okay for what it is however the value for money isn't like the SCX24. I knew it wasn't the same value but I bought this because of the complete build experience I thought I was buying.

HobbyPlus CR-18 Rushmore Builders Edition 1/18 Scale Mini Crawler KIT
It is only a 'half' builders kit, the axles, transmission, etc are already assembled units. Overall it's a pretty nice looking and driving vehicle. I did not have any driveline issues but I did make sure to line up the U-joints at both ends. The problem I had was with the transmission, it stripped the internal gears (they are plastic) after only a couple of test runs and now has a hard time just climbing steeper inclines without grinding to a halt. This one does come with a more powerful motor than the pre built kits, not sure if that is part of the issue or if I just received a bad transmission (again, it was pre-assembled). Wondering if the Fast Eddy bearings kit might fix this or not, but that is another $20. I'm still awaiting a call back from A-main to see what can be done to fix the issue. I also have a Panda Tetra X2 and Axial SCX24 that I have owned for a while and I have beat the heck out of that are still going strong with minimal issues, so at this point I have a hard time recommending the Hobby Plus CR-18 until the tranny issue is resolved....

HobbyPlus CR-18 Rushmore Builders Edition 1/18 Scale Mini Crawler KIT
First kit I've built in over 30 years. Not the most challenging thing I've done but I enjoyed it none the less. My only complaint is the first time I test drove it,on my bedroom floor, not even outside, the front drive shaft popped apart. As soon as it was under any strain. I was able to get it back together but I was a little disappointed.
