Helion Select Four 10SC 4WD Brushless Short Course Truck
This truck is a blast to drive, it handles very well and the beginner mode is perfect for young drivers or beginners. In Expert mode, IT FLYS!!! Easily twice the speed plus some!! I purchased it for $250.00 when it was on sale and at that price is a steal and by far better and faster than anything else at that price (I donít think itís worth 400$).

I rated this truck 4 star for 2 reasons:
First is the issue of getting parts for it. It seems like most of parts that break are NEVER in stock or are back ordered on line for WEEKS at a time. Some parts you would think are in a package like screws, are not and you have to find the screw from a different package or try and buy the ďextraĒ package and that one is back ordered, for weeks. I broke a Front Steering Spindle (HLNS1005) & a Spindle Carrier (HLNS1048), it took me 3 weeks to get the parts and when I got them there were no screws in the Spindle Carrier package. Instead I have to find the King Pin Set (HLNS1024) and everywhere I look,,,,,, itís Back Ordered!
Second is a BIG design flaw in the frontend. The front brush\bumper guard isnít wide enough on the bottom to protect the Arm Holder (part# HLNS1015). We have the rounded curbs in our development and when you jump them it hits these and breaks them (even in beginner mode). If you do buy one of these trucks the FIRST thing you should do is change the oil in the shocks to thicker weight and adjusts the springs to be tighter. (The oil in my shocks werenít even full like they should have been) This will help out a little but you will need to buy some of the Arm Holders and also some of the Arm Bushings (part# HLNS1038). There is NO aftermarket support for this truck, so your only hope is Helion.

I changed out the tires on it to a more street friendly version, since weíre running it mostly on asphalt and concrete. It was shredding the off road tires that it came with (even in beginner mode) and I wanted to see how they would do when I could take it off road. This greatly improved the handling on the street, tighter turns and faster acceleration, definitely worth it.

Helion Select Four 10SC 4WD Brushless Short Course Truck
Looks like helion may discontinue this truck, so if you're thinking about buying one do so fast! I took this truck to the local track the first day I got it and it was such a blast. It is really race ready I'm using the gens ace 50c 2s lipo and it's plenty fast. All I did was adjusted preload and radio trim also added some speed treads pin tires for the track. Solid rig!!

Helion Select Four 10SC 4WD Brushless Short Course Truck
Just recently took the plunge into the R/C world and picked up one of these on a whim. Saw it on the main page and thought "For the price, what the heck." This thing is a blast right out of the box. I put a Venom 3s LiPo in it and have been shredding the tires ever since. So far, I have just been tearing up the yard and the street by the house. It has been flipped many times and keeps coming back for more. I could not be any happier with my purchase!

Helion Select Four 10SC 4WD Brushless Short Course Truck
Super fast out of the box. Handles like a dream.

I've only had it a couple of days, but so far every minute with it has been incredibly fun.

I've driven it up and down the street jumping off a ramp and crashing onto asphalt with a 3S battery. I've driven it at at the local RC dirt track with a 2S battery. It was fantastic on both!

There is a selector on the included transmitter for 'Standard' or 'Beginner' that makes it easy to hand off to my 10 year old daughter and let her drive.

The only 'problem' is that if I crash it REALLY hard (like multiple cartwheels on asphalt, or a 6 foot jump) one of the front ball cups keeps popping off. But then, it's all of 10 seconds to pop it back on and it's up and running.

I'm really just as happy as can be with this truck and recommend it highly.

Helion Select Four 10SC 4WD Brushless Short Course Truck
This thing is badazz ! i originally bought it for my dad but i feel in love with it also, another reason i bought it was because its like $100 cheaper than the bigger select, very happy with it and have only broke 2 parts, front lower suspension arm and a shock, i drove it off a cliff . the shock broke after i side slammed into a rock the size of a bear. it was a rear shock, other than that this thing is very awesome and worth the money. very pleased, im surprised Helion isnt one of the top brands.

Helion Select Four 10SC 4WD Brushless Short Course Truck
I picked this rig up at the local store on an impulse buy to play with the kiddos based on the rave review by the in store tech guru. When I got home, I looked it up online and saw a lot of negative stuff and almost took it back. I'm glad I didn't. This thing is a blast. I haven't had an rc in 30 years... and I'm rusty. I fully expected to break some parts learning to jump at the local track with no tuning and stock tires on dusty clay. I beat this thing like it owed me money. It did surprisingly well. I had to pop a couple ball caps back on, and had a shock cap pop out. That happened when a slash rolled over the barrier into the long straight and I t-boned it at full speed. I didn't so much crash into it as crash through it (parts flew, but not mine). If you break something... it would've broken on anything. I can't wait to get some good track rubber, tweak the diffs and suspension, and hit it again. A couple track regulars were very impressed with the durability and out of box performance and their jaws dropped at the $249 sale price. I think I might see some other four 10's at the track soon.
