The D418 4WD Competition Buggy!
Coming soon from HB Racing is the D418 1/10 scale 4WD electric buggy. HB designer Torrance Deguzman updated his innovative D413 design with new high performance features based on feedback from our top team drivers. New for the D418 is an aluminum chassis with raised side guards, similar to the successful 1/8 D817 buggy. HB’s trademark monocoque suspension arms now come in a harder material as standard equipment for precise suspension and handling response. The center bulkhead is now split for easier and quicker access to the center differential. The highly adjustable suspension now has revised suspension travel and shock length for improved performance. And, the D418 kit is now topped with a clear JConcepts 4WD buggy body and JConcepts wing. How does faster, stronger, and more adjustable sound? The D418 checks all of the boxes.

The car drives amazingly well. Is a fairly aggressive steering car with more forward weight bias, and it is really reactive in the air. Aside from that, you also can't beat that legendary HB toughness either. Less spare parts to buy balances out some of the costs in the long run. Just a note, if you're going to running a spec class (I run 13.5), you'll want to get the Exotec diff adapter and change down to a 68T spur. The FDR on this buggy seems higher than a B64, so you'll need to be able to gear up, otherwise jacking a ton of timing into your motor.
The other cool thing about the buggy - you'll automatically not be "just another B64D in the field" :)
Definitely a huge improvement over the previous model. Looking forward for more dirt sessions with this baby!!
EDIT:
I've got the buggy. It's still done nicely and top quality.
Comparing it to my recent kyosho build, this puts the kyosho in a toy type category. There is no comparison between the two and what you get. Even comes with an aluminum servo horn.
Car drives very well with base setup. Feels a lot like a YZ4. This car is definitely an upgrade over the D413 and worth the money!
I doubt I’ll be supporting you and buying this kit! It doesn’t even look like you upgraded the weak parts like the front arm mounting screws that go into the diff housing that BEND ALL THE TIME!
I’m very disappointed.
