Hangar 9 Sealing Iron Sock
This sock fits very well. Although it appears to be a bag that’s sewn shut, it does fit multiple sealing irons. The stitching is not meant to be cut. Instead, use the loose threads as a draw string while your iron is sitting on top of the sock. It’s not a sock that goes over your iron entirely, it sits on the shoe of the iron only. Simply lay your iron on top with the soft side facing down, pull the loose threads tightly and watch the sock wrap around the shoe. Tie the loose threads around the handle. A couple of turns around the handle will draw up the excess threads. Do not cut the threads to allow for adjustment later. Tie the threads in a bow and you’re good to go! Will buy again and I plan to in the near future. Buy a few if you’re doing a larger covering job. The covering film will leave its coloring on the sock after a few passes. Be prepared to change the sock after a couple of larger covering jobs.

Hangar 9 Sealing Iron Sock
What I recieved does do fit a Hobbico iron. What I received is only remotely resembles an iron sock but it is basically a cloth bag that is completely sewn shut. It isn't even close to the correct shape for the iron. The hanger 9 tag says "Mechanical Liquid and Chemical Parts. Rolled Header Card. The sticker on the other side says HAN141 Sealing iron sock.Do not buy these unless you somehow verify you are getting the correct part.
