FX have introduced a range of low-profile engine cooling heads for their range of .21 off-road engines. Machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminum and coming black anodized and laser-engraved for looks, the cooling heads are available in a 6-rib variant for cooler ambient temperatures, as 7-rib head for medium air temperatures and as 8-rib variant for hot racing conditions. Using the heads over the traditional tall head will lower the overall center of gravity and weight thanks to the low-profile design and additional weight-saving machining. To further assist with cooling the head’s black coating is machined away in the contact area between the head and the combustion camber insert.
Recommendations:
- 6-ribs – Low air temperature
- 7-ribs – Medium air temperature
- 8-ribs – High air temperature
