Work of art this thing is sweet performs beyond may expectations and with adding a little brass down low should be able to just about whatever I want it to do. Just FYI for purchasers I also bought the XL links to add to it NEWS BREAK it come now with those already installed spend that money on another upgrade.

Furitek Cayman Pro 4x4 1/24 RTR Micro Rock Crawler
**EDIT**

So, the front axle assembly I ordered arrived, and appears to be the correct part. I say appears, because the very first test I did with the truck after installing the front axle, planned a very slow 6" forward and reverse test to make sure nothing appeared to be binding, and to test the servo, etc... Well, as soon as I flipped the switch on the ESC, which I did after turning on the transmitter and resting it on it's side with nothing touching it, the truck suddenly took off racing towards the edge of the table. I do all of my RC work on a white towel, so I can easily see any tiny parts that may fall off, well when I grabbed the truck the back tires caught on the towel and wrapped the towel up, causing the back tires to get locked up, and SNAP, now the back driveshaft snapped. I have literally broken a front diff, and now the back driveshaft snapped in two, and still have yet to have driven the truck, not 6". However, what I have learned from this process is that Furitek replacement parts, like the front axle and the driveshafts are EXTREMELY difficult to get. I lucked out and found the axle assembly on one site, but had to order the driveshafts direct from Furitek, and now have a three week waiting period. This truck is VERY fragile, you are almost sure to break something, and when you do, good luck finding replacement parts. This is not Amian Hobbies fault, they have been very helpful and fair through this process, this is 100% on Furitek. So, at the very least, you might want to verify that Amain has parts in stock before ordering one of these trucks, you are going to need them.

My Cayman Pro 4x4 RTR is the first RC purchase I have ever regretted (and I have purchased a lot of RC items over the years), and regret it I do. I basically now have a $400 front wheel drive paperweight, until the driveshafts arrive, and I have no doubts that something else is going to break once they do. I'd absolutely return it if I could, but things have gone too far now even for that.

**Original Post**

I would love to write up a full and detailed review of this truck, but I am unable to do so, because as it turns out the Cayman Pro RTR, while a beautiful truck to look it, is far more fragile than I ever would have thought.

While not wishing to throw the young man under the bus for his mistake, we'll just say that the truck as driven over our long haired dog's tail, and as a result hair got wrapped up into the portals, which in turn froze up the front axle entirely. I was unaware that this had happened, and so when I went to give the truck a quick drive, for the very first time I was to have driven it, I set the truck down on the wood floors, and hit the gas. There was a clicking sound, followed by the front wheels not turning at all, while the back wheels began spinning.

I immediately picked up the truck, and the first thing I found was that the front axle was completely frozen up, the wheels would turn in one direction but not the other and after some rapid wiggling of the wheels it would then spin in the opposite direction and be frozen in the other, and the front driveshaft was now lying on the ground, still connected to what appears to be a now broken piece that goes directly into the differential.

Having not realized what had taken place with the dog's tail, I reached out to Amain, who immediately provided an RMA so that we could begin the process of replacing the entire truck. However, shortly after this, I was made aware of what had happened, so I advised Amain to cancel the RMA, we broke it we'll fix it, and thus began the lengthy process of trying to find a new front axle assembly, which is when I discovered just how difficult it is to get replacement parts for this rather pricey RC truck. Even the good folks at Amain. Wesley and Ryan you guys are top shelf and exemplify the reason why Amain is always my first choice when making an RC related purchase, struggled to find the front axle assembly, not having any in stock at Amain, Ryan did his best to located the needed parts, also with negative results. I was finally able to locate what I believe is the part I need to repair my brand new truck from another retail outlet, we will know for certain soon when the part arrives, but for awhile today I thought I might now be sitting on a nearly $400 paperweight, with no means of repairing something that I would not have expected to have been so fragile in the first place. We will take responsibility for the broken axle, we did cause the hair to get into the portals to begin with, however the near impossible to find repair parts should not be this difficult to locate, especially when I am trying to get them from the company I had just purchased the truck from to begin with.

I will report back, on if I did actually locate the correct axle assembly, as well as, once the current axle is removed, I will tear it down and identify exactly what broke inside, so that I can try to locate those parts in order for me to be able to repair it and then keep it as a spare, which now seems like a really good idea.

As I mentioned in the beginning, I cannot speak to how well the truck functions, but will gladly report back my findings on that as well, once I get functionality restored.
