The FMS P-51D Red Tail V8 Plug-N-Play Electric Airplane with Reflex is the latest version of the FMS 1400mm series P-51D. This model features many scale details that give you the air presence and feel only a P-51D can provide. These scale details include a sliding canopy, scale moving and sequenced retractable landing gear, open air intake and much more. Powering this model is a FMS 4250-KV540 motor paired to a 70A ESC for incredible speed and vertical performance. Completing the look is the iconic Red Tail paint scheme for an aggressive look. This specific model includes FMS Reflex V2 making this plane perfect for both novice and ace pilots alike.
Reflex Functions:
Three flight modes are available, Stabilized, Optimized or Off. This is controlled with a two or three position switch on the transmitter. When assigned to a two position switch, the Reflex system changes between stabilized and optimized modes.
- Stabilized mode: Designed for beginners, Reflex will rapidly level the aircraft from any attitude when this mode is activated. Stabilized mode combines accelerometer and gyro data to determine how to level the aircraft when the control sticks are released - giving pilots absolute peace of mind.
- Optimized mode: Utilizing advanced solid-state gyros, the Reflex system maintains aircraft attitude by counteracting inflight upsets - for gusts to crosswinds. With Reflex, even small aircraft will fly with the confidence of something much larger!
- Off: Turns off all gyro functionality, the aircraft is flown completely manually when the gyro is off.

Just received it today. First, the ESC was not connected to the motor. I had to remove the motor and connect the ESC and then put it back together. Second, they said it took a 4 cell 2600 mah battery with a XT60 plug. It actually needs an ESC5 plug. All I have are XT60 so I had to order an adapter. Third, The landing gear door on the left wing was not connected to the servo, come to find out that the Clevis was broken. Luckily I had extra. Fourth, The landing gear sequencing module came apart. Other than that(so Far) The rest looks good.

I received the plane, opened it checking for damage, none was found, This is my first foamie, so far so good, slow putting together, instructions could be a little more detailed. Looks to be a great plane to fly.
