Flite Test P-38 Lightning Master Series Electric Airplane Kit (1460mm)
I couldn't have asked for more.
This plane is amazing in almost every way. I have built about 15 planes most of which are Flite Test designs.

The build is a challenge and requires a lot of time but if you put the time in you will get an amazing aircraft out of it. I scratch built this as a quarantine project and it took me about 12 hours of work (3 hours cutting out plans) but I think it was all worth it.

I have done just 1 flight with this aircraft so far but I see myself flying it whenever I have a opportunity to. Maiden was very straight forward and easy to fly. I flew for 5 minutes and my 2200 4s lipo was quite warm and down to 13.9 volts so I think I am going to set my timer to about 4:30. It flies so scale and has a very nice presence in the air with it's size and performance.

But don't just take my word for it, build one yourself and you will be happy you did.

Flite Test P-38 Lightning Master Series Electric Airplane Kit (1460mm)
Excellent kit! John designs amazing builds. This will not disappoint.

If you order the Twin C Power Pack, you will still lack 2 servo wire extensions (for the ESCs). Also, early kits had two "L" (left) booms, so make sure you flip one of them over and label "R (right) before ripping off the paper on one side.

Flite Test P-38 Lightning Master Series Electric Airplane Kit (1460mm)
This is an awesome kit, very fun to build and I really enjoyed using the new techniques that John is using with the curves and rolling the foam. Results are great, just take your time.

Flite Test P-38 Lightning Master Series Electric Airplane Kit (1460mm)
I just bought a Flite Test pack twin radial edition. The model airplane frame I made for this is already made. It's a little different than the P-38 Bomber. I got it from the internet, this guy called Ramy's. Well, I copied his design. It was the car airplane challenge video. And i made it that way. Is this shipment coming from United States Postal Service? I sure hope so. It says fed ex, but I can wait. Fed ex people are incompetent. They don't care about my order, even though it says 2 days. I was just wondering how they ship their products. Also I need a landing gear. I think the cheapest kind for the model airplane I made. Out of card box foam and ply and 3/8 inch wood and dowel wood. This and the transmitter with receiver I am waiting from Hong Kong, China. And the push rods and hinges, and vinyl coverings, this should do the touch ups. I really hope this works. Flies. I let you know in a few months. Maybe in a few months, hopefully by July 2021, I can put up a picture of my airplane and I trust it would have already flew.

Again thanks Flite Test Store. Today is Tuesday May 4, 2021. Expecting my transmitter w receiver from China. And expecting my Battery plus battery charger from Flite Test store. Already have the pack c radial twin engine edition. Just got to put together some finishing touches. Springs for my nose gear, it the cable hooks around a hook connected to a spring. The landing gear fits right into that spring. It goes left or rights with the spring. let it stand one more week for the back landing gear, few hinges to do on my elevator and rudders. Connections on the cable to the servos. And testing time. To see if the system can hold up in mid-Flight. If this holds, I've got one flying airplane and maybe about 5 to 6 flights maybe more on this model. Thanks again Flite Test. I really enjoyed building this home made airplane that looks like p-38. Flite Test P-38 Lightning Master Series Electric Airplane Kit (1460mm)
I will start with I bought the p-38 second hand, but unopened it came with the power pack kit, and the krafty kit, everything was great and went together great except it did not come with enough servo extensions to complete the plan. I had to order 3 more serve extension. Unless I did something wrong..... but the power pack kit came with 4 servos and 4 servo extensions not sure it was supposed to have more or not but great kit
