The Flite Test Commuter is an airplane designed by the community tester, Ben Harber. The build is considered intermediate, and is an ideal choice for pilots looking for slightly more skilled build process, and a docile and relaxing every day flyer. And now it's made of Maker Foam!
Two designs are possible, the first is the yank and bank style with only aileron and elevator control. However, you can add rudder control (with extras purchase such as servo and linkage).
Maker Foam Features:
- White color is much easier to add a simple trim scheme using stickers or pinstripes
- Translucent allowing models to be creatively lit from within
- Takes paint or decals extremely well
- More durable than previous Flite Test foam products

Flite Test Commuter "Maker Foam" Electric Airplane Kit (762mm)
Neat Design and very complete. However, there seems to be a QC problem. Both sheets have a second 50% score cut about a 1/2" from the center. On one sheet it adds a second seam on the wing, on the other it clips off a small section at the back of the fuselage. These are easily fixed, but reflects poorly on product. I thoroughly enjoy your site and videos, it engages kids to try something new and creative. And it can be done with a small investment! This is great. Keep up the good work.
