Exotek Tenacity HD Steering Set w/Bearings

Ok, if you use blue THREAD LOCK as the instructions say then you do NOT need to chop these parts up as the other reviewer has done- wow lol.
Mine have GREAT fit and smooth operation! Just ask the others in the Tenacity facebook groups.

This is a very worthwhile upgrade for the DB Pro. Out of the box, the steering on the DB Pro is its weak point. I first upgraded the servo (I used the Savox SC-1257TG), which helped a lot. There was still a lot of slop in the linkage, though.
The Exotek steering set really tightens up the slop and made a tremendous difference in the handling and control. Not cheap but an obvious improvement to an otherwise excellent platform.

It’s the most accurate part that exists for that specific chassis! I love it so much now everything feels so solid and smooth! The servo of the Tenacious TENACITY TT PRO is a weak point and you feel the need of an upgrade as soon as the EXOTEK HD steering kit is installed. It would be great to have suggestions for servos and upgrades for horns when buying the EXOTEK HD steering kit !

An excellent replacement for the stock Tenacity DB Pro steering components. The play among the parts was reduced, and the servo saver spring that is re-used from the stock set-up became much more effective with these parts - Exotek Tenacity HD Steering Set w/Bearings [EXO1930]

Works great, although it didn't get rid of the slop in my steering.

Definitely a must-have upgrade for the Tenacity DB Pro. Out of the box the steering on mine was loose, and the left wheel had between 1/4 to 1/2 inch of play. This kit resolved that problem and now the only play is in the linkages/ball joints. My only complaint is that you have to dis-assemble your steering bellcrank to re-use the threaded threaded insert/rod/spring. My oem bellcrank took a pair of vice grips to loosen and I ended up shaving off most of the outer texture/teeth from that threaded insert.

This kit and a better Servo and your Lasernut will thank you. Buy them.

Works well too remove steering slop on the Lasernut, until driven. If you tighten the screws like they should be, you will completely lock up your steering system. If you keep the screws loose and use blue loctite, letting it dry 48 hours, it will last about 9 minutes before the screws come out and you loose your steering. I think I will take a sloppy plastic factory steering system over one that completely falls apart in less than 10 minutes. Only 2 stars because the parts look nice. Complete waste of money unless you're building a shelf queen.

I'd pass on this. The screws for outer links are secured with locktight. This does not hold and becomes almost as sloppy as the oem steering. Using red will be a pain to service. You can get a lock nut on the left side link, but I had to hog out some metal to get one on the right side. This helps, but the bearing clearance does not allow you to really snug things up.
