The Exotek D216 Carbon Fiber Chassis Rail Set is a 5mm hard carbon fiber chassis rail option for your D216. This will increase the stiffness of the chassis to provide sharper handling on all race surfaces. These will also help to seal up the body and protect it from track debris when used with velcro strips (not included). Includes heavy duty alloy battery posts and steel hardware. The stock plastic lipo holders can be trimmed down if preferred and used instead of the included alloy posts.
NOTE: Requires D216 velcro strips for body holding (not included).

Here's the deal..
This is a nice idea and is supposed to tighten things up. The reality is that it does add some rigidness, but at the same time the battery stands aren't engineered to take advantage of the battery nuts flat surface which add rigidness to the buggy in This area. This was very disappointing because you gain in one area and loose in another. This should be updated and new posts should be sent out in my opinion.
The nuts provided don't come with washers and will damage the c.f. unless you put washers on them. Flange face aluminum nuts would of been the way to do it, Exotek! I'd gladly pay a couple of bucks for this add on.
Another thing I noticed is that the holes weren't perfectly lined up or the holes may be slightly small. Some screws were difficult to install.
All in all it's a decent kit that needs some re-engineering. The added edge height will allow you to either carve out new velcro or buy a strip of xray velcro for an xb2 to install the body. I left the front body mounts as they provide some additional crash protection for stuff on board.
