This is an excellent gearbox for creating underdrive for you rig. Gear reduction is 2.6:1 and ~ 2.93:1, so you are actually 11.8% underdrive for the rear, which is great for the volt up / gear down thing. No issues with the plastic gears on 3s with 5.6" tires. Make sure you have a good quality 1.5mm driver and strong fingers to assemble!

I put this trans in my Redcat Gen7 with the Vader skid plate. I built this with the motor facing the same direction as stock trans and 12% overdrive. I was extremely surprised at how it changes the climbing capabilities of the gen7. I completely recommend this and a Vader skid for the gen7. Makes it a whole different truck. Make sure you have a good 1.5mm driver for the screws. The plastic for the gears is tight and you will end up stripping the screw heads.
