This is an E-Flite UMX Turbo Timber BNF Basic Electric Airplane with AS3X and SAFE Select, a redesign of the original Timber that includes updated features, increased power and extreme acrobatic performance capabilities.

This is a scaled down evolution of the original Timber, an iconic ultra micro model best-equipped for exciting STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) adventures. The UMX Turbo Timber updates the original design with a modern turboprop-styled nose and 3-blade propeller, plus a higher-power 3400Kv brushless motor. When using the same 2S 280mAh batteries, this Turbo version provides even better STOL performance with shorter takeoffs and faster climbs. This set-up delivers some extreme aerobatic capabilities, as well as the power to hover, then climb out vertically. In the hands of experienced pilots, the UMX Turbo Timber can be flown in more places — even off of water with the optional floats (sold separately) — and in smaller spaces. Plus its high-wing configuration and exclusive optional-use SAFE Select technology provide plenty of stability to make the UMX Turbo Timber a great choice if you've mastered flying at least one model before.

Features:
  • Incredible Short Take Off and Landing (STOL) plus sport and aerobatic flight capabilities
  • Uniquely capable and versatile so it can be flown in more places and smaller spaces
  • More powerful 3400Kv motor for the power to hover and climb out vertically
  • Updated turboprop-styled nose, 3-blade prop and trim scheme
  • Updated landing gear design to secure fairings to fuselage
  • Functional oversized flaps for shorter takeoffs and landings
  • Industry-leading Spektrum™ 2.4GHz DSMX® technology
  • Easy to fly with optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope protection
  • Unmatched stability and locked-in feel of AS3X® technology for smoother flight performance
  • Optional-use leading edge slats for improved STOL and slow flight performance
  • Functional and factory-installed LED landing, navigation and strobe lights
  • Optional floats for flying from water (sold separately)
  • Fully factory-assembled and ready to fly right out the box

E-flite UMX Turbo Timber BNF Basic Electric Airplane (700mm)
It’s a fun little park flyer. This thing is fragile!!! Invest in glue and duct tape. It’s the thinnest foam I’ve ever seen. I’ve even known it in 5-8mph wind and it managed, best if no wind. Servos are working good. Esc working good. Lots of adjustments and repairs heading your way if you buy this. It looks great and I love the lights but who flies at night? Under perfect conditions this is a great little park plane.

E-flite UMX Turbo Timber BNF Basic Electric Airplane (700mm)
Upset, servo on esc defective. Had to take apart new plane to verify bad servo on esc. Have had these issues with previous umx models. The electronics are very cheap . This will be the very last umx plane I ever buy. They are only worth 99$ at most.

E-flite UMX Turbo Timber BNF Basic Electric Airplane (700mm)
Very good plane, pretty quick for how small it is, and plenty durable so far. Lights are a very nice touch for flying in dusk and dawn. Large wheels work perfect over gravel and bark and flaps are super helpful for low and slow flying. Overall a super good value for the money!

This is an awesome plane For the beginner or the professional! I am however having technical difficulties with the flaps not responding to my Spektrum DXe transmitter.
