When trying Vanquish, Reefs and other name brand servo horns; all of them rub on the servo case when tightened down which adds a lot of friction and effort to move the horn. I didn't notice this when I initially built my first Phoenix. There is usually a fraction of a millimeter worth of clearance so the servo horn doesn't rub on the servo case and things operate smoothly.
I've had 2 out of the 4 servos I purchased in service for probably 2 hours worth of run time. I'm just now using the other 2 servos on my 2nd Phoenix and 1 has let out smoke after less than 2 minutes of runtime even though the servo EPAs had been set.
I understand manufacturing defects and even improper installation happen but the fact that a number of high quality, name brand servo horns rub on the case is ridiculous. That should be a no-brainer part of the design. These same servo horns fit other servos from Protec, Holmes Hobbies, NSDRC, etc. just fine.
