The EcoPower 827 12g Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo is an affordable, high voltage "mighty micro" upgrade. This servo is a great choice for the Dig/Shift servo in the Axial SCX10 III, as well as a Dig servo in the Axial Capra. The servo saver adapter is included! Plus, true high voltage compatibility means no more complicated wiring to protect your accessory servos when running a high voltage steering servo.

The 827 can also be used as a steering servo upgrade for the Axial SCX24 when combined with the optional Samix Mount (SAMSCX24-6068E-BK), or Hot Racing Servo Mount (HRASXTF24M01). The 827 holds 15% more torque than other optional SCX24 servo upgrades on the market and is the first to offer high voltage for under $15.

The EcoPower 827 fits a wide range of micro servo applications, including the Losi Mini-T 2.0 and Mini-B, Axial 1/18 Yeti Jr, a multitude of aircraft and many others. The servo features a durable metal gear train, digital circuitry for increased efficiency and reliability, servo saver adapter and servo horns.

EcoPower 827 12g Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo (High Voltage)
I bought these for the dig and steering servos on my SCX 10.3 kit since the Spektrum SX107 seemed to be out of stock everywhere. Fits just fine but in my experience one of them died after the second run. Ended up going with an AGFRC micro servo to replace the burned out servo that’s still kicking so far.

EDIT: updating this review to add that amain’s support rocks! I left the review above recently and amain support contacted me shortly after. I was sent another servo without question and didn’t even ask for it.

great replacement over spektrum 107 that just burn up when you look at them wrong.

EcoPower 827 12g Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo (High Voltage)
Used this on an SCX24 with the Hot Racing mount. The mounting holes are just a tad bit off, but the screws go in just fine as the holes are a little big. That being said - DEFINITELY try to use mounting screws with a bigger head diameter, or use washers. Servo plastic is generally very soft, so small heads, like cap screws, can pull through under load.

As for the performance of this servo, in this price range, you won't find a faster servo, or one with more torque, especially if you can run this at the max 8.4v. Here is a vid of this servo running off the wimpy stock SCX24 ESC...
https://youtube.com/shorts/wOayRsw4U10?feature=share

So, adding a Furitek ESC, and running the BEC @7.4v would make this servo faster, with more torque. And even as is, it has plenty, especially considering I have a ton of scrub steer on this truck with Treal +5mm hubs and RC4WD stamped steel wheels with the hub mounted reversed to give a wider track width.

Just get this if you have an SCX24. You won't be at all disappointed. But make sure to get the Hot Racing mount (HRASXTF24M01). I hear the Samix one doesn't work as well with this servo.

EcoPower 827 12g Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo (High Voltage)
I bought several of these because I realized they were little gems. I bought two for my Gladiator, one for my Capra, one for my Mini-B. I have not swapped out the Mini-B just yet because I have done so much just to make the Mini-B work with an E-Max micro servo that I don't want to undo it yet. The servos perform much better than the stock Spektrum Micros in terms of torque and eliminate the annoying Dig and Two-Speed uncoupling issues I had with the stock micros. Also, they simply drop right in with the proprietary servo horn, saver, and arm linkage (no need to invent your own linkage). You can't beat this for the price.

EcoPower 827 12g Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo (High Voltage)
Utterly trash. Good performance; but the case is ridiculously soft, and the mounting tabs will break if you look at them funny. I’ve gone through two.. the first one ripped itself apart in the car, pulled the assembly screws through and separated the casing during an on-road carpet race.. never took a hit. The second, the mounting tab broke off during assembly. Good thing they’re cheap… you’ll want to buy 5-6 of them if you want it to last a week.

EcoPower 827 12g Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo (High Voltage)
Doesn't seem like it is any different than the stock Mini-B servo. Within 30 minutes started getting center-chattering, random steering input, etc. Low quality generic servo (it is <$20) so you get what you pay for. I don't think I'd even want to use it as a dig servo.

The servo's mounted taps arent very strong. I have 2 of these servos in my Mini T and B and both has the taps broken off. This is even with a servo safer.

EcoPower 827 12g Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo (High Voltage)
Bought 4 servos, unfortunately 2 of them did not work. The servos stopped at full endpoint and then unfortunately did not work anymore. So only an efficiency of 50% and that is not good enough.

EcoPower 827 12g Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo (High Voltage)
The internals are pretty decent. Better than the Spektrum 107 it is often replacing. However, the ears are made of what could only be called silly putty. I’ve gone through 4 of these in a week for me & my son’s Mini T & Mini B. The ears break on the track without any major hits if you use the metal servo mounts. They seem to last a bit longer with the plastic servo mounts which probably absorb a bit of pressure, but I’ve broken 3 of them with the plastic mounts too. Good thing they are cheap, but the ears seriously need an upgrade to be useful in the Losi Mini cars.

Using this servo for the 2 speed in a Ryft at 8v. At this price point, it is awesome!!
And it comes with the needed plastic servo adapter thingy.

Updating initial review, Amain replaced DAO servo, no questions asked. Thank you for unparalleled customer service!! Amain = 5 stars, servo equal 4 (1 year warranty!), maybe 5 - once I've had chance to use for a few good runs.

Man this is my first time ever owning an rc car and i want with a crawler. I wanted to reppace the Traxxas trx-4 with these micro servos. Finally the very last part of me working on my car for 6months comes down to these 3 servos. Needless to say my car still isnt complete. 2 of the 3 dead as a door nail and now im lookimg to return these and find something different i guess. What a bummer abother week i have to wait.

EcoPower 827 12g Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo (High Voltage)
I had this running the dig shift in my Axial Capra. I was running it on 8.4 volts which is within specs. I had the axial servo saver on it, as well as having correctly set endpoints, and it still burned out after 2 weeks of use. It did work well when it worked though. Maybe I received a flawed one, but since they are $15 I might give it another try.

EcoPower 827 12g Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo (High Voltage)
Great servos for upgrading the SCX10III especially for the price. Now I can run my ESC BEC at 7.4v to get the most torque out of my steering servo and not worry about burning up the shift and dig.

I tried one of these with the SCX24 but unlike the EMAX, the main gear is much larger so it’s incompatible with the stock servo horn/saver and the aftermarket aluminum servo horns I tried. Also the servo lead is tight to the frame and rubs a little.

*UPDATE*
After upgrading my ESC/motor, I finally got around to hooking up the dig and shift servos, they were already working fine before disconnecting, and I had the endpoints set (plus the servo savers installed) and both are burned out. The servos just twitch. Thankfully I had the spare from the SCX24 and was able to get shift back online. For $15, it’s not the end of the world, but still not great.
