This is the DuraTrax Onyx 210 AC/DC Peak Charger w/LCD display. The Onyx 210 charges anywhere from 4 to 8 NiCd and NiMH batteries, with output current selections of 800mA, 1.5A, 3A, and 5 amps. Great for charging batteries for 1/18th to 1/8th scale electrics, nitro receiver packs, and even transmitter batteries! A tiny, lightweight built-in switching AC power supply plus DC input capability is perfect for use at home or the track. A custom LCD with backlight is great for use indoors or outdoors, daytime or night. The Onyx 210 has more applications (and convenience) than nearly any charger in its price range!

DuraTrax Onyx 210 AC/DC Peak Charger w/LCD Display
Recent purchase from aMain. I like this charger. I run nitro, so my only need for a charger is for a NiMh receiver battery. 5x1400mAh. Onyx 210 meets that need without breaking a sweat. The back light feature is an unexpected plus. Seldom found in a charger, but much desired. Dual voltage is another plus. 12vdc works as back up for me. 115vac is primary. As an option, I also power up this charger using a 750watt power inverter jacked into the power plug in the back of my truck. My inverter puts out a modified sine wave for ac power. Some electronics don't like this. The Onyx appears unaffected.

ONE CAUTION: The 210 defaults to a charge rate of 5.0amp. Not a big thing once you know to remember that. I just hit the settings button and select 1.5amp.

The port for accepting a receiver battery is great. No adapter needed. Another plus. Would have liked a sticker as a reminder to jack in with the (-) to the right side of the port. Again, no biggie, a Sharpie penned it in as a visual reminder.

Bottom line. For the price and for what it was designed for, a buyer can't go wrong. Thanks to both aMain and DuraTrax for recognizing that there are still NiMh receiver battery users out in the nitro ranks.
