The kwik-links work fine, but the 2-56 control rods would not solder properly. The silver solder balls up instantly as soon as it melts no matter the amount of heat from the torch, and would not flow into the clevis at the other end. I had no problem silver soldering a clevis on a 2-56 control rod from Great Planes. I first thought there might be a coating on the rods interfering with the solder, but sanding didn't help, so I believe there are impurities in the metal. I kept the links but threw away the rods.
