Dromida BX4.18 1/18 RTR Electric Buggy w/2.4GHz Radio, Battery & Charger
Bought one of these Dromida BX4.18 off-road buggies from the local hobby shop recently + another spare Dromida NiMH battery pack as well. Comes with a single Dromida branded 6-cell 7.2v 1300 mAh NiMH battery pack that takes about 17-18 minutes to charge with a good NiMh/LiPo/LiFe combo battery charger at 4.19amps on the average (compared to using the included Dromida branded AC to DC battery charger/monitor combo which will take about 2.5 hours {on the average} to charge a stock Dromida NiMH battery pack). Battery run times with a stock Dromida NiMH battery pack are about 10 to 12 minutes tops (and depends if you set the 2.4 gHz transmitter to run the buggy at all-out speed via throttle trim setting set to max). The stock batteries do get quite warm after a single run session but that is to be expected and it's recommended that they cool down for about 30 minutes before recharging again.

Considering that the buggy already comes with a full set of ball bearings already installed at the factory, that's a plus.

There is an optional Dromida brushless upgrade kit for a suggested MSRP of $99.99 which comes with an upgraded 380 type brushless motor, upgraded separate brushless ESC and all new seperate reciever setup (which requires removal of the installed stock components and replaced with the upgraded components). Plus, you can run either the standard NiHM battery packs or the upgraded Dromida branded 2C 7.2v 1400 mAh Li-Po battery packs with the upgraded brushless ESC setup.

It's quite fast and nimble running the Dromida BX4.18 off-road buggy in stock form and will see a definite increase in overall speed if going with an Dromida brushless upgrade kit, indeed.

Range is about 300 feet before the radio signal range drops out which isn't too bad considering the overall asking MSRP of $99.99 for a typical Dromida RTR set (whether you get it as a Monster Truck or as a Short Course Truck setup).

Spare mini pin styled tires replacements are $9.99 each and come with inner tire sponge and tire already mounted/glued on -- comes with two per set and it's a good idea to have a couple sets on hand.)
