These skid plates are great. I've used them for 6 race days total, (about 40 runs), with minimal wear. They don't get pulled back like previous designs that would render them useless. I never noticed a change in handling after installing these; didn't know others were having trouble. If you want to save your chassis I see no reason not to run these.

I have been using these for as long as they been out, if they slow me down I have not seen it in my lap times. They make the chassis lasst. I have a original rc8 chassis that has not one spot of anodizing left, except of course for where the skid plates are. Has 2 full season and going on it s third with my son behind her. It has been through two state series seasons, numerous club races and club series races, 5 BIG events. I am a competent driver and hold my own and these skids "xd series" have not hurt my performance enough to warrant the excess wear on chassis, still the original chassis going strong. I use them on my mugens as well.

Was not a fan of skid plates. They require suspension adjustments to keep the rear of the chassis from 'slapping' on the jump face. IMO the pro is not worth the con.
