Crawler Innovations Deuce's Wild "Heavy Weight" 2.2 Tall Closed Cell Foam (2)
The Crawler Innovations Deuce's Wild "Heavy Weight" 2.2 Tall Closed Cell Foam was developed for heavy rc crawlers and speed applications. This insert will support vehicles 10 pounds and heavier and was designed for use in the Pitbull Tires 2.2 Rock Beast 2 Tire (PBTPB9002NK). But will fit other tires of similar height and width. Some of these are RC4WD 2.2 MT BC TTC; RC4WD 2.2 IROK; JConcepts Scorpio; Proline TSL SX XL.
These foams are much firmer than anything available on the market. They do not fold over under load whether it's high speed, heavy weight, or simply turning. These foams rely on a small air gap between the foam and tire. This loose area allows for the tire to obtain traction, while the foam supports the tire. If you desire fully filled tires, please purchase dual stage foams.
Approximate size: 5.25" Height x 1.75" Width. Remember that foam goes inside the tire and one must subtract lug and carcass thickness, plus any reinforcing from the overall tire height. Deuce's Wild CWR-3015 Tuning Disc Set is a good addition to these foams in tall tires to help flatten the contact patch and fully fill the tire.

These foams are incredible. I have bought a few products from Crawler Innovations and the people behind this company clearly care about their product and the hobby. Packaging is great, they provide you with info about the foams but also a mini crawler rule book.
Anyway onto the foams. I wanted something stiff since the truck I used this for is a rock racer, these are exactly what I expected. A bit difficult to install because they're so stiff.
I mated these foams with SSD Beadlocks and Pitbull Growler 2.2s. After three runs on mild terrain I noticed two small tears in the tire. I can't say the stiff foams pushed the thin tires to their limit, but keep my experience in mind if you start tearing up tires with these foams.
Can't wait to buy another set of these foams for more rock racer setups.
