The CEN Racing Fiat Abarth 595 Q-Series 1/12 2WD Solid Axle Monster Truck Kit is a short wheelbase bash machine. The Chassis features a dual vertical plate (DVP) design with a sealed receiver compartment, realistic 4-link suspension and an adjustable wheelie bar. Used through the kit are hex screws and adjustable turnbuckles. The chassis has been designed to allow for optional 4-wheel steering. Moving to the suspension we see aluminum shock caps fitted on 10mm big bore oil filled shocks equipped with stiff racing springs. The truck uses a 2WD drivetrain with a centered driveshaft to allow for more power transferred to the wheels. A Sealed transmission eliminates dirt and dust from getting in. This transmission features an easily changeable gearbox design.

CEN Fiat Abarth 595 Q-Series 1/12 2WD Solid Axle Monster Truck Kit
I'm surprised they made this in a kit version but I'm glad they did. Cheap and cheerful. With a really short wheelbase, it's all about fun and it wants to wheelie everywhere. What might not be obvious to everyone is a lot of the parts on CEN's other monster trucks (like the Ford B50) are interchangeable with this kit. So for example you can stretch the wheelbase by buying the longer links, or easily make it 4 wheel drive and/or 4 wheel steering just by buying the parts. Very cool. The instructions might be a little tricky for someone new to the hobby but it was a smooth build overall.

CEN Fiat Abarth 595 Q-Series 1/12 2WD Solid Axle Monster Truck Kit
I have only unboxed this kit so far. The kit looks very well made. All the parts are in numbered bags. It has a really nice construction manual and decal sheet. The body is pre-cut, even for the head and tail lights. The wheels are different than the RTR version. The RTR version has chrome plated wheels. The kit version has gray wheels. It comes packed in a very sturdy box with outstanding graphics printed on it. Very happy so far!

I just finished the assembly of this kit. All the parts are very well made, and fit very well. However, I wanted to point out that the construction manual is a little ambiguous. Some of the front axle items, for example, seem to be reversed from one view/page to another. The rear axle view is vague about where to install the bearings to secure the axles. The screw illustrations are all just smooth surfaces, no views of the kind of threads. And some parts needed in a certain step, are not in that step's bag. For example, building Step D, some parts were in the bag for Step G. Happened more than once. All of this can be figured out of course, but a beginner to building a kit may have some trouble. And lastly, the 4 screws for attaching the shock absorbers at the top, were missing from the kit.
