The BPC SCX10 II AR44 RTR Truss Axle Servo on Axle Mount gives competition oriented drivers a SOA option for the V2 AR44 truss style housing. This stainless steel mount adds 30 grams of weight to the axle housing. Two 3x6mm button head screws are required for installation. Made in the U.S.A.

BP Custom SCX10 II AR44 RTR Truss Axle Servo on Axle Mount
This mount is awesome. As another reviewer mentioned, there are two styles. The more square looking mount (BPCSM2) fits the multi-piece AR44 axle by mounting with the removable link mount holes. The more slender looking mount (BPCSM2RTR) fits the single piece AR44 axles with built in truss. These are the axles that came on my SCX10II Deadbolt, and presumably other RTR SCX10II models, though make sure you check your truck.
If you have an RTR, you can pick up the Axial AR44 Complete Locked Axle Set (AXI31438) and use the BPCSM2 mount. This adds $80 to the cost of the SOA upgrade, but then allows you to run metal C-hub carriers, knuckles, and link mounts. Even if you aren't going to run aftermarket metal parts, the Axial AXI31438 kit let's you fix broken C-hub carriers and/or knuckles without replacing the entire axle.
As far as the actual SOA conversion/installation process goes, it fits well and mounts securely. As the other reviewer mentioned, you will need to buy/fabricate a custom drag link. Also, as is mentioned in the description, you will need to get a pair of servo mounts to complete the conversion. The suggested mounts were out of stock, so I went with the some mounts from ST Racing that were meant for the DR10 (SPTSTC91391SBK) and they fit great. Some other SCX10II SOA conversions have the servo mount built in, but I like that this leaves the option to use brass or steel servo mounts for added unsprung, non-rotational weight.
You will need a second upper link mount to convert to a 4-link setup. My Deadbolt RTR had one of the plastic links in the extra parts trees and the other reviewer mentioned the builders kit having one as well. Be aware that standard metal link kits for the SCX10II will not have a fourth link for the front, so you'll need to either fabricate or purchase a link kit that is specifically four link front if all plastic links aren't your thing.
Lastly, on the BPCSM2, you'll need four 2.6x16 bolts to replace the factory link mount hardware. I suggest TRA2618, as 2.5mm worked fine for me, if you don't have any 2.5/2.6mm bolts long enough.
All in all, a great conversion that allows for a much smoother, cleaner suspension setup that doesn't feel like the panhard and drag link are fighting each other constantly like out of the box.

BP Custom SCX10 II AR44 RTR Truss Axle Servo on Axle Mount
Beware there are two types of mounts depending on the axle you are trying to install on. The BPCSM2RTR part I can verify fits the later single piece AR44 axles well.
This mod significantly improves suspension geometry and lowers CG. Depending on your setup and preference you may need to trim the chassis to take full steering advantage throughout the suspension articulation.
You will need to fabricate/purchase a steering drag link and upper suspension link to make it all work. May have to also have to make/purchase a new battery tray. If your have the builders kit then your lucky as it has a spare upper 71mm aluminum rod and the plastic link ends and you can reuse the deleted panhard M4 threaded ends to complete the upper link. Now you can delete the panhard link and trim the panhard mount for increased clearence. Finally you will need two M3 10mm screws to mount the bracket to the outer axles and servo mounting bracket. I re-used the stock pumpkin screws for the aft mount holes without issues.
When the panhard is deleted you will find the pumpkin can now move up into the recess without hindrance. This has another benefit for increasing the droop suspension setup lowering the ride height without changing suspension travel.

BP Custom SCX10 II AR44 RTR Truss Axle Servo on Axle Mount
So awesome!! Used this on a custom low center of gravity 6x6 crawler build. I was having issues getting the most out of my suspension with a 3 link and chassis mounted servo. Switched to this axle mount and I won’t be looking back. I get all the articulation and solid 4 link set up with this. It is solid and adds weight down low. Also went on without issue.
