Blade Main Gear (Blade 400)

Use this gear if your old one-way bearing is in good shape. To remove the old one-way bearing, first make note of the direction of rotation! Next, break the plastic gear around the aluminum bearing housing, to remove the old housing. Then, use a large pin punch , a hammer or a press, and a cylindrical base to remove the one-way bearing from the aluminum housing. A block of wood with a hole drilled in it, a metric or standard socket, or an arbor base plate will all work to hold the housing while you press the bearing out. Last, press the bearing carefully into the new gear housing. A soft-face hammer with a soft piece of wood or an arbor press or a shop vice or even drill press will work. But, remember to note the direction of rotation of the one-way bearing! SS
