This is the Blade 180 QX HD Ready-to-Fly Micro Electric Quad-Copter. Engineered with SAFE™ technology to make it easier to fly, the Blade® 180 QX High-Definition Camera-Equipped Quadcopter makes aerial photography and video a snap. So now beginner and current enthusiasts that want to know more about the immensely popular hobby of aerial photography can get up to speed fast for under $200.

Features:
  • Engineered With SAFE™ Technology: SAFE™ (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology is a revolutionary electronic flight envelope protection system. It also offers smoother flight capability that battles windy conditions for you and multiple modes so you can fly with the level of protection and assistance that suits any given moment of the flight. These modes make it easy for anyone to start flying and the ability to change the flight experience as they progress their skills.
  • Stability Mode (selectable high or low angle): In these flight settings, the 180 QX HD operates with bank limiting and SAFE™ technology enhanced self–leveling characteristics. Two Stability modes provide the pilot with a high and low angle setting, allowing the quadcopter to be flown smoothly or more aggressively depending on your video needs.
  • Agility Mode: In Agility Mode, the 180 QX HD has no flight envelope protection. All bank and pitch angle limits are removed and the pilot can experience aggressive aerobatic flight with AS3X® technology to provide a crisp, locked–in feeling at all times.
  • Included Flight Camera: Both the BNF and RTF versions of the Blade 180 QX HD include the E–Flite® EFC™–720 camera for use with the included camera holster. This lightweight camera is capable of software–enhanced 720p resolution video recording as well as 1.3 megapixel still image capture and can be used on other aircraft. Included for use with the camera are a 2GB Micro–SD storage card and USB charging cable.
  • Dynamic Transmitter Functions: At any time during flight, with the flip of a switch, a pilot can trigger the photo or video function on the E–Flite® EFC™–720 camera with the included 5–channel transmitter. This functionality can also be programmed into a compatible DSMX® transmitter for BNF models.
  • Indoor or Outdoor Flight: The 180 QX HD is powerful enough to be flown in outdoor conditions, or indoors in an appropriate setting.

Blade 180 QX HD RTF Micro Electric Quad-Copter
The price on this is a little high for what it is, but the durability of this micro quad is second to none! I bought the EcoPower micro quad, and have been almost completely consumed by flying the thing...so I decided why not try one a little bigger! I am not a pilot, but I have gotten somewhat proficient with the smaller quads and really enjoy flying them. Modes 1 and 2 on this thing are really easy to fly, and its pretty quick for a micro heli. It seems to be as fast as the Alias and just as durable (according to bigsquid.com its more durable). Mode 3 (agility mode) is awesome, flip it, roll it, stuff it...dont be afraid. Mine has been wrecked a few times now and the only damage was a bent blade that I bent back and have been flying ever since. The included camera is not very good, and to say its 720p HD is quite a stretch, but it is fun to play with. What I did with mine instead of using the camera, is build a parallel cable, and bought another battery and strapped it in, in place of the camera. Hooked up parallel with the cable I get 1000mAh + of battery. I can rip it around outdoors for over 10 minutes WOT...such a blast! The only downside IMO, is the lack of lights. If you want lights it can be done, but I havent messed with it yet. So, my only request to the guys at Blade, or A Main, is I want a factory light upgrade, and I want upgraded prop's...the included props are fine, but there is more performance to be had with a better prop. PLEASE make this happen!
