This is the Blade 120 SR Bind N Fly kit. The Blade 120 SR is a fixed-pitch heli that will give you the confidence to master the basics of single-rotor flight. Its unique rotor head was specifically designed to provide the inherent stability of a co-axial helicopter, but provide the agile control of a single rotor helicopter. Modeled after the popular ultra micro-sized Blade mSR, the sub micro-sized 120 SR is larger, faster, and more powerful -- which makes outdoor flight a reality.

It comes out of the box 100% factory built and equipped with a factory-installed 5-in-1 control unit with Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM2 compatible receiver, main motor ESCs, mixer, gyro, and fully proportional servos. A ready-to-fly version with 2.4GHz DSM2 transmitter and a Bind-N-Fly version without transmitter, for those who already own a DSM2 aircraft transmitter, are available. Both include a 1S 500mAh Li-Po battery and a single-cell, Variable Rate Li-Po charger as well as an AC power supply.

Key Features:

  • Sub-Micro Size
  • 100% factory-assembled, test-flown and ready-to-fly right from the box

Blade 120 SR Bind-N-Fly Electric Micro Helicopter
I purchased this heli as a progression from a co-ax, on the advice of a friend, and couldn't be more pleased! I've flown it for about 1 a year now, replaced every part on it(except the 5-in-1 controller) at least once. This little guy is an excellent micro-heli to practice hovering and a little FF inside. The size can be mis-leading, you need a big room with high ceilings to get the most out of the -120 SR inside.

In CALM, >5MPH winds, the Blade is excellent performer outside. Forget about winds <5MPH, it's just too light...

3 things need improvement - The stock battery, the battery mount and the landing gear. The stock battery just doesn't have a long life. Pick up A Main's Pro-Tek battery, same price, much better performance. Both the battery mount and gear nedd to be beefed up; WAY too flimsy. Do yourself a favor, and buy a couple of extras of each.

Overall, the Blade 120 SR is an excellent micro to learn on, and also to fly around the house on indoor days...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Blade 120 SR Bind-N-Fly Electric Micro Helicopter
decent heli, don't charge the batteries over .03 or you will ruin them!( e flight batt) experience control loss, do to batt dumping, causing the low voltage cut, best thing to do is upgrade the batteries to protech 550mah then you can charge at .05, it makes a big diff!, no trouble with randomly loosing control!

get 3 batteries
ps. only run like 2-3 minutes, then swap them out, fire them on the charger (once cool)and you can keep flying for quiet a while, batts have lots of punch & good run time, not draining them is very important to keep them at top voltage /run time draining them to the lv cut off will ruin them

i never got the hang of it, till i got the 3 batteries to keep in the air long enough to figure out how to fly it ...

Blade 120 SR Bind-N-Fly Electric Micro Helicopter
Very good next step from the msr. Can be flown outside on a calm day. all around a great copter. As with the mcx and the msr, holds up to crashing very well, although the tail boom is somewhate sensitive. Definately worth the money and it get five stars from me considering price.

Blade 120 SR Bind-N-Fly Electric Micro Helicopter
Yes this heli fly's decent, and overall it's a good heli, but it shure could be built better! on the third flight i cracked the canopy after a not so rough landing,on the fourth flight the aileron servo stripped out. luckily horizon is replacing it free of charge.the whole control board. but there are cheaper fp heli's out there with real rotary servo's and thicker parts,i also broke a landing skid after a sideway's crash landing into a table leg,i did not even ask them to replace that because it was my fault, but the skids are really flimsy.it has decent lift power and good control authority on high rates, basically it's a decent flying beer can!
