The Blade Fusion 270 BNF Basic helicopter begins a new era of high-end Blade products, with all the features, style, and performance intermediate through advanced customers demand.

This powerhouse features a lightweight and strong carbon fiber frame and landing gear, black anodized aluminum components, and an all-new, high-torque 4S optimized power system. If you push things a little too far, the Fusion 270 is equipped with a Spektrum AR636A flight controller with SAFE® Technology Panic Recovery mode to prevent a crash. Blade Fusion 270 BNF Basic Electric Flybarless Helicopter
I am very familiar with the Fusion series and absolutely love them. Many people seem to have a problem with the model tipping over during take-off, although my experience was completely different. My 270 performed very well straight out of the box, I had no problems with taking off or landing; it is extremely smooth and stable, I personally think it has a better tune than the very popular 360 CFX 3s. The skids are a bit on the narrow side, but it does not effect my model in anyway, I believe the 270 is a great model.

I bought it elsewhere and can say - it is 2 things :
1.cool and powerfull
2.frustrating until you fiddle its settings (adjusting PID parameters is not for everybody)

It was wagging tail a lot, just minor adjustments that where not very intuitive lead to very stable heli.
So - be prepared to spend time, and yes - do it carefully - first check all in dry, that things work in right directions before applying power to it.

Also - it has no one-way bearing on main shaft, so it does not have great auto-rotation -> I always land in power mode, and power it down with throttle, not trying to auto-rotate from 1feet height or not even trying to hit throttle hold right after landing.
In my experience when just landing it can be thrown out of balance by throttle hold(to fast head speed change)

Same for take-off, it is very sensitive to ground resonance/vibrations, so I rise throttle to 1/4 stick, let it reach stable RPMs and then go up to 3/4 stick to get it hovering without spending much time at 0 pitch - you will soon learn why :)

once you have learned to safely get it up and down and it does not wag like hell - do a trim flight to re-calibrate heli, it will be more stable on landings/take-off's, maybe a bit stabler in flight as well.

Absolutely pissed at the default settings from Blade and Spektrum! I should have manually setup the transmitter vs using the template for the Spektrum ix12!!! I was surprised at how it threw the tail around on spool-up and broke the plastic pitch control slider... Don't trust the defaults!!!!

What can I say but WOW!!!, this Heli can do it all but fair warning, it’s not for beginners. I had no issues with the Heli tipping over during take off (this would only be an issue for a sport flyer or beginner), not to mention I checked how the Heli was setup before I ever flew it (I did have to make some mechanical adjustments to the tail that otherwise would have caused a tail wag). If you don’t know what tail wag is then you real shouldn’t be flying a Heli like this, in the right hands this thing can perform most if not all those smack 3D moves, it fly's well beyond my capabilities (I’m not great but I’m well beyond bad). It’s not perfect, I hate trying to get the canopy on after the battery is installed, I really hate it!!!. The skids suck!!! they are way to narrow, as I stated above the mechanical settings on the tail were way out (the servo horn was off from 90 degrees at servo neutral, no counter pitch rigged in to help the servo and gyro over come counter rotation). When I selected 3D mode on the flight switch the Heli tried to roll right (swash-plate wasn’t level, it was just slightly off, it was only noticeable at the highest head speed), all these issues are easy enough to fix but I could see how some folks would trash this thing on a review if they thought it was going to fly perfect right out of the box, with that said I love the Heli and I’m all smiles when flying.
