The Blade Fusion 180 is the high performance 3D machine that's ready to tear up the backyard. The Fusion styling revision adds a redeveloped lightweight and extremely rigid carbon fiber main frame. Plus, the redesigned belt-driven tail and newly developed tail case improve performance and overall durability. Hosting this new belt is an over-sized tail boom large enough to eliminate the need for boom supports. With this updated tail design, the servo has moved to a more discrete location mounted to the tail.

Optimized servo geometry greatly reduces mechanical loss and improves control efficiency to the swashplate. Driven by Spektrum metal gear servos, pilots are sure to appreciate the precise control. Painted carbon fiber tail fin finishes off the sleek styling of the Fusion redesigned canopy. A 20 Amp ESC offers improved, precise head speed control for that high performance flight that doesn't lag behind. With BNF Basic convenience, all you have to do is add a 4S 450mAh battery, bind your 6+ channel Spektrum DSMX transmitter, and you're ready to take to the skies!

Blade Fusion 180 BNF Basic Electric Flybarless Helicopter
This is a great heli! Have over 100 flights and she flies so smooth and beautifully. Tail has been holding great. 4s 450 and get over 5:30 minutes flying 3D. Being able to adjust the fbl gains from the radio is awesome. Isnt that like vBar control which is quite a fortune. Got this fusion180 over the oxy2 and saved a bunch of money.

Blade Fusion 180 BNF Basic Electric Flybarless Helicopter
I just had 2 flights, only hovering!, my tail servo failed after 2nd flight, I was lucky that heli was on the ground when it failed, basically the first plastic gear right after Servo motors’s pinion was damaged, there is no spare available on Amain for this servo.

Blade Fusion 180 BNF Basic Electric Flybarless Helicopter
Seems like a great idea on paper. A small heli, without sensor assisted flight envelope, for the more advanced flyer. Unfortunately mine came with a bad flybarless unit. Yes, mine had the horrible tail wag too but that can easily be fixed. Just a shame that after spending almost $1800 on various Blade product recently that I had to wait a long time to work with Horizon on this one.

Blade Fusion 180 BNF Basic Electric Flybarless Helicopter
Just finished first flight, went through 2 batteries and was able to fly about 10 minutes. Fun small heli to fly with very good tail hold. Lots of power for 3D flying and easy to basic fly. Great buy for a BNF, easy set up and you don't need very much space to get down and have fun!

Blade Fusion 180 BNF Basic Electric Flybarless Helicopter
I bought the Blade Fusion 180 as a stepping stone to get back into the hobby after flying 450's and 500's back in 2011. So far I am very impressed with this little helicopter. Some people complain about tail wag but I am of the mind set that if you are a competent collective pitch pilot, you should also know how to properly setup and tune a helicopter. The tail was fairly solid on mine out of the box however adding a little bit of right pitch to the tail blades with the tail servo at neutral did indeed help and the tail is now very solid. This can be done by shortening the tail servo rod 1 or 2 turns. This helicopter is also very durable as I have had a few light crashes during my initial setup and familiarization which resulted in zero damage. If I could find one fault it's that after a few flights I did discover that all cyclic servo screws were very loose, one of which was loose enough to allow a servo to move slightly during cyclic operation. I removed all cyclic servo screws and added loctite. Every other screw on the helicopter was solid. Overall I am very happy with this helicopter, it is very fast and very capable. It is also easy and cheap to fly compared to the large 500+ size helicopters so flying this is much less stressful. This is absolutely not a beginner helicopter but would be perfect for anyone looking for a small, capable helicopter that is an intermediate or better pilot.

Blade Fusion 180 BNF Basic Electric Flybarless Helicopter
Unfortunately I received another bad product from Horizon Hobby. I have spent over $1000 on Blade products recently, on various heli items and had to let everyone know that there are still some bad Blade Fusion 180’s out there. This thing started with a ridiculous tail wag. After grinding off the flange on the servo horn, gluing the push rod holders and adding 3.5mm of right tail rotor for anti-torque, the tail wagging went away. However, even after messing with the PID gains, there is nothing that will allow this heli to even hover properly. Swash is level, went over this this 3 times with a fine tooth comb. TX settings are all good. Had a more experienced heli person keep it for a while and check into it and he even said that there is definitely something wrong with it. So Horizon, I want my money back. (after being on hold with them again today, for over 1 hour only for them to hangup on me.... again... How can that happen two days in a row? What is going on over there? for a “BNF” this thing sure was far from that! So tired of DOA products from this company.
