The Axial SMT10 Grave Digger RTR 1/10 4WD Monster Truck is a true-to-scale, 4-wheel drive, straight-axle Monster Jam RC truck that’s the perfect basher for everyone from scale RC enthusiasts to full-size monster truck fans. Licensed from Feld Motorsports, the genuine Grave Digger ‘50s-era panel van body is as ghoulishly real as it gets, from the trademark graveyard paint scheme and chrome Zoomie headers to the driver figure with glow-in-the-dark helmet. BKT Monster Jam style tires with foam inserts add more scale realism along with impressive grip and handling on a wide range of terrain.
Everything going on beneath the scale body is just as exciting. Axial designers went all out when creating the chassis and roll cage for the SMT10 Grave Digger monster truck. Very similar to those of full-size Monster Jam trucks, the SMT10 tube frame chassis was developed for maximum strength and has an extremely realistic appearance. There are a variety of shock mounting points for suspension tuning options, with additional mounting points on the cage and at the axle for moving the shocks to a more scale, vertical position if desired. Mated to the proven Axial AR60 axle, the 4-link suspension soaks up any obstacles in its path.
The SMT10 comes factory-built and ready-to-run with updated, improved electronics and radio gear. The Dynamite 550-size motor provides higher torque and top speed for pulling off radical monster truck moves. It’s matched with a LiPo- and NiMH-compatible Dynamite 60A ESC that features forward/brake/reverse, forward/brake and crawler drive modes.
The included FHSS 2.4GHz radio gear is all high-quality Spektrum brand equipment. The STX2 2-channel transmitter and SRX200 receiver provide fast response and outstanding range. Enjoy precise, interference-free control while striking terror in your bashing competition!

I've been out of the hobby for about 15 years, and when I saw this truck I had to have it! I was staggered by how detailed and well built this thing was, right out of the box. No problems whatsoever after bashing this thing hard for a week on 3S LiPo, with the stock 12T motor and 14t pinion. Some people will "upgrade" with metal control arms and other components, but I wouldn't recommend doing that because you'll just break more expensive parts of the truck. The stock components are flexible, which helps the truck absorb big jumps and bashing without breakage. The only metal parts I would recommend installing are internal sleeves for the plastic axle tubes, which are prone to breakage.
The stock radio has rate and trim adjustments, which you will need because the front tires rub the lower control arms at about 70% lock. The stock electronics are cheap, so I installed a more modern digital FlySky 2.4 radio and receiver. I would also recommend installing a second set of sway bars and mounts on the front axle, otherwise this thing will roll over all the time. Larger clod-buster style MT wheels/tires should work fine, and would help with the stability issues. I have a brushless motor/ESC that I plan to install for more power and better run times once I burn up the original 12T.
If you are on the fence, then buy this truck! When you order it, also get a sway bar and sway bar mount kit for the front axle, axle tube sleeves, and use a better digital radio/receiver. Other than that, it's about perfect!

A great scale replica from Axial of the Grave Digger monster truck. Everything worked great out of the box & the 12 turn motor & metal gear transmission is a great upgrade. I installed a front sway bar (same as the rear) & it improves all around stability. I did have a missing spring perch on the left rear but I had a spare in my parts box, so no problem. Nice product from Axial!

I’ve been waiting a long time to get my hands on this truck! A real solid axle 1/10 monster truck, the SMT10 does not disappoint! At $299 I feel this price is worthy. Updated esc and now a 12t brushed motor gives the truck the added punch that the first version lacked!
Although I’m sure I’ll go brushless at some point, I feel this package is much improved over the first release, and is fun to drive and watch it behave like a real monster truck!

I absolutely love this truck. Note: the stock servo is a 23T if you want to upgrade the servo horn, and for the stock 12T motor it comes with a 14 and 16 tooth pinion.It is fun right out of the box, especially with the 16t pinion on 2s lipo, but once you start upgrading things it really becomes a whole new level of fun. I have a brushless system in mine now which allowed for much longer run times as well as more power of course. I don't recommend running the stock brushless motor on a 3s even though the manual says it can take it. With a brushless system and bigger tires you will want to upgrade other parts of the drivetrain and steering, but that can be done as things break since it is a monster truck and just like real ones with big tires and lots of power when you start doing tricks, getting big air, and rolling the vehicle it will eventually make parts fail. It's all part of the fun in having an RC monster truck.

Looks great runs ok for a brushed motor. Has spectrum electronics, so upgrades are going to be a necessity. The front tires rub on the frame and requires radio tuning to adjust limits, however effects turning radius. But overall great truck. Still new so we have time to see how well its built.

I got this truck in April 2021 and used it for two days, all went well and good my sun loved the looks of the Iconic Grave Digger body.... two weeks later we took it out again and halfway through the second battery pack the electronics and motor started to smoke and the truck nearly caught fire ? had I not ran to unplug battery pack who knows what would have happened !!! He was so disappointed as was I since it was brand new...we had proper 2S pack in it and was only the third time we used it. I have a very large collection of RC vehicles, planes, boats, drones etc. collected over 40 years of my life, nitro,gas and electric... Unfortunately I haven't been able to get any service as far as repair or replacement of this vehicle and I'm going to have to try and recover my loss from Paypal !!!

Pros: Beautiful body, frame looks really cool, durable, decent speed for a brushed 2s set up.
Cons: Run time is poor, I get about 10 minutes at most on a 5200 battery, Radio feels really cheap, but does the job. The whole truck feels a bit cheap in general, a lot of plastics. no swaybar on the front, really easy to flip because of that.
Its pretty fun to bash around with, but the short run time really spoils the experience, glad I got this on the flash sale, if I paid full price I probably would look at returning it.
