Axial SCX10 III Servo Horn Metal (25T)

Bought this a couple years ago for my SCX10 2 Trail Honcho that I haven't used much. I broke the plastic panhard mount and just replaced it with an aluminum Jazzrider version, which has some clearance in it for the steering but needed more cut into it with the Dremel. I didn't want to take off too much and risk compromising it, so I figured I'd remove a little material off the servo horn.

To my surprise, this servo horn just laughed at my Dremel router bit, which made little if any progress at cutting into it (same bit goes through aluminum easily). I began to suspect this horn is made out of steel, so I placed a magnet up to it and sure enough, it sticks, meaning it's ferrous. That's awesome! So now I'll have to remove it from the servo, place it in the bench vice, and hit it with the angle grinder. Being steel, I'm very confident that it can withstand having a bit of material removed to get full steering throw.

Solid… probably works great for the scx10 iii. doesn’t clear the pan hard mount on the scx10 ii.
