Arrma Fury Mega 1/10 Scale Electric RTR Short Course Truck
TOOK my 13 yr old nephew/godson Brandon to local HobbyTown (Jeremy & Summer running the one in St Charles, IL)...

I fly big RC planes/UAVs and quad drones, so was a newbie in this realm. Jeremy & his crew took my nephew's modest $140 budget, and immediately recommended the ARRMA Fury Mega. Ryan & Griffith (store crew) gave us a knowledgeable tour in minutes:
- good looking ! :-)
- surprisingly well-constructed !
- surprisingly sturdy !
- brushed motor, but capable of 30+mph (real speeds)
- Excellent newbie controller
- 2000 NiMH battery

HARD to believe all of this for $169, and today (Black Friday) it was on SALE for $129 !!

HAD to buy one myself as well!

A few hours later (we used the included-but-slow trickle charger) we were literally SCREAMING down the asphalt of the local park, and RIPPING up the woodchip ground and sand ground of the playground at the park - WHAT A RIOT!!!

Who knew a hardcore RC flyer (fixed wing & drones) could have SO much fun on only the ground!

Being I used LiPos for ALL my other RC stuff, I immediately switched to 5000 mAHr LiPos, flipped the DIP switch on the Fury's chassis to use LiPos, and gave the 2000 mAHr battery to my nephew Brandon...

And to see this thing literally TEAR UP the sand spinning 360's then LEAP over the concrete wall, hit the chips under the swings, SEND chips flying in every direction, BOUNCE off of boulders, then scramble across the grass, roll over repeatedly, land UPRIGHT (surprisingly often!), then literally OUT RUN my cattle dog/grey hound cattle dog down the asphalt at an ASTOUNDING 32 mph (I HAD to clock it repeatedly... AND nearly 30 MINUTES on a single 5000 LiPo battery... WOW !!!

I can't think of a better way I've spent less than $150 on RC stuff in the past 4 YEARS !

Already called the local Hobby Town back, and had them set another (my 3rd in 24 hours) Fury Mega aside for a Christmas gift for my twin brother !

How's THAT for a first review of this astounding little truck ??
