The Ares Spidex is the perfect micro-size quad for budget-minded customers looking for their first multi-rotor aircraft. The 6-axis control system in the Spidex helps provide the steady control you need while learning and because it comes with two different flight modes and three different rates, it’s a great quad for pilots of all skill levels.

The two flight modes that come as part of the software package on the Spidex are Normal and Auto-Orientation. If you struggle while learning the controls in Normal Mode, you can easily switch to Auto-Orientation Mode, which allows you to control the quad so that its movements match the direction of the controls you give from the transmitter, no matter what orientation the quad is in at the time. Three different rates of 20%, 60%, and 100% allow the Spidex more maneuverability with each step so you can expand the capabilities of your quad as your flying skills grow.

The Spidex comes in your choice of two bright fluorescent trim schemes that provide easy orientation, plus LED lights that help with visibility when flying in the dark. Plus, once you’re comfortable with basic flight, the push of a button on your transmitter will allow your Spidex to complete 360-degree flips in any direction!

The Spidex is RTF (Ready-To-Fly), so it arrives 100% factory-assembled with nearly everything needed to fly included in the box. Along with the uniquely designed, durable airframe you get a 2.4GHz 4-channel transmitter, a 180mAh 1-cell 25C LiPo battery for long flight times, and a USB charger for convenient charging from any USB plug-in. All you need to add are the AA batteries to power the transmitter and you’ll be making your first flight within minutes of opening the box!
