Arrowmax "SL" Molded Composite 48P Pinion Gears feature an anti-slip golden-anodized aluminium hub combined with high strength anti-wear composite materials to create an incredibly lightweight pinion gear that will improve overall drivetrain efficiency, throttle feel and power. The gears have been thoroughly track-tested ensure the pinions will withstand the abuse of both on-road and off-road and provide racers with an option optimized for spec class racing. 48 pitch gears are available in 25T to 40T options.

These are an excellent alternative to the colored thin plastic slot car pinions. I found them extremely lightweight, spin true, and very quiet in 1/10 off-road buggy. Most importantly they are all black in color. The only reason I did not give five stars, the set screw is very small and in small piece of alum. You have to be very careful not to over tighten and break/strip.
P.S The one negative review, these are for racing and not designed for crawlers. Use in the right application and these are fantastic.
