This is the Alpha "Ryan Lutz Worlds Edition" 5+2 Port Competition .21 Engine. After nearly a year of refinement, the Ryan Lutz Worlds Edition Engine has arrived! After the success of the standard “Lutz Edition Engine”, Alpha Plus and Ryan Lutz have tuned and tweaked the 5 port design, taking it to the next level. The goals were to increase durability, drivability, and as always fuel mileage.

The first change is the Dynamic Equilibrium Crankshaft (DEC). The patented DEC design features a stronger crankpin that is much more resistant to wear. But the biggest innovation is the unique way Alpha Plus installed a brass weight into the silicone filling in the crankshaft. This helps to improve the balance of the crankshaft and produces a smoother running engine with increased fuel mileage and smoother drivability.

The next change is the Conrod. Machined from a more durable material, this rod is much more resistant to wear and tear. Finally, the crankcase features increased material, to improve strength, among other minor revisions to improve durability. The Alpha Plus “Ryan Lutz Worlds Edition Engine” takes nitro engine technology to the next level.

Alpha Ryan Lutz Worlds Edition Competition .21 Engine (Turbo) (Pink)
Taking the original Lutz engine to the next level. Highlights are the beefed up crank case and con rod. The biggest performance improvement being the perfectly weight balanced crankshaft delivering a smoother power input but still retaining the bottom end power.
Engine just runs perfect with the Alpha Plus Ryan Lutz 2107 exhaust system. Great feel to the bottom end and a seemingly never ending top end!)

Alpha Ryan Lutz Worlds Edition Competition .21 Engine (Turbo) (Pink)
Good engine if your looking for something that runs constant high rpm. the carburetor will not tune properly for low end snap, could not get the off idle snap we all love. Also the front engine bearing started to leak fuel during the first tank of fuel. I tried a different carb and bearing and it got better, but not really to my liking. I would not recommend this engine to anybody due to the difficulty with carb tuning. Also engine break-in was more difficult than most engines. There are much better engines out there for another 20$. This would probably run very well in a boat with a .21 engine.)

Alpha Ryan Lutz Worlds Edition Competition .21 Engine (Turbo) (Pink)
I have been completely satisfied with this engine. It seems to need pre-heating before starting, especially up here in Alaska. Also, it seems to respond better to a slightly richer low speed needle setting compared to my Novarossi Plus 4.)

Alpha Ryan Lutz Worlds Edition Competition .21 Engine (Turbo) (Pink)
Great reliable engine. I put one in my xb8 buggy and it has proven to be extremely reliable and fuel efficient race after race with a tune that's easily kept. And plenty of power to be competitive against any .21 class racers.
I've since put one in my truggy and at such a good sale price purchased one as a spare but haven't yet needed to take it out of the box.)
