This is the Align T-REX 700X Dominator Super Combo. Align’s 2016 flagship T-Rex 700X Dominator incorporates top shelf upgrades. The biggest improvement over the prior models is that Align has focused on lowering the all up weight of the model by nearly 400g. The superior control feel and attractive look make the T-Rex 700X Dominator a great choice for discriminating 3D enthusiasts.
Outstanding materials and superior design concepts, with the elaborate matte black carbon fiber structure and stunning red Follower Arm (FL) rotor head set, aluminum anti-rotation bracket, and torque tube drive gear set dramatically enhance strength and aesthetics, providing a professional grade helicopter to the masses.Lastly, the kit version supplies the tried and true Align 850MX 490kV powerhouse motor, designed for extreme 3D flying styles.

- The 700 FL flybarless rotor head system utilizes extreme low CG design, effectively reduces resistance during flight, increased flight responsiveness and precision.
- CNC Reinforcement Plate is designed to strengthen the newly designed narrow upper body design, and additionally act as a heat sink for the motor. Tests have indicated that a decrease in up to 20 degrees Celsius has been recorded.

Align T-REX 700X Dominator Helicopter Kit
If you fly aggressively enough beware the main shaft will snap in flight. I’ve personally done it 3 times and each time was seriously expensive. I reached out for help from the distributor and Align in Taiwan and was strung along until I gave up. They finally recognized the problem but still offer no solution and still won’t make it right but continue to sell these kits.

Align T-REX 700X Dominator Helicopter Kit
Heads up, if your buying this kit version, make sure your using servos with leads long enough. The way you have to route the wires leaves very little room and if you try to add extensions they get in the way of the motor pinion and the main gear. This is the toughest helicopter I ever had to wire. Other then that its a simple build. Built it in a weekend.

Align T-REX 700X Dominator Helicopter Kit
A very good bird for the price. Good quality parts and historically good availability and pricing. One thing is that the tail design has a lot more metal bits and pieces than other designs which adds tail weight. The 5-degree forward tilt of the skids is a nice feature but sometimes it messes up the rescue feature of my gyro. Overall I’m pleased with the forward pitch design.
This is a good choice as a first 700-size machine or an everyday driver for a budget flier.
