The Align T-Rex 500X is a refreshing revision of the ever popular 500 class helicopter! Featuring many new updates such as the FL Rotor Head System, larger 470mm main blades, torque tube tail driven system, & sliding battery tray system. All of the updates both physically and electronically are built to deliver one of the best 500 class flight experiences to date! Typically smaller helicopters are not as stable, and not as powerful as their larger class brothers. The 500X changes this concept drastically and is as stable as it's larger brothers.

Align T-Rex 500XT Top Combo Helicopter Kit (Torque Tube)
Years ago I had the T-rex 500 3G kit, the one that came with a separate gyro and flight controller, and most of the programming was done through the radio as opposed to the FBL controller menus. For some reason or another, I much preferred that one. I don't know what happened to Align, but the quality seems to have dropped in the time period between the two. Overall this heli seems too big for a 500, and kinda flimsy in comparison to my old 3G. I had an issue on my first flight with the controller stabilizing in reverse, went through all the settings, confirmed all was good and changed nothing, and then all was fine after a restart. From that moment on I didn't trust it. The way they mount the ESC on this kit is kinda goofy too. Back at the same time as my 3G, I also had a Blade 550X - and that was a much nicer heli and about the same size! As for this one... after another tail strike, I parted it out.

Some of the parts were damaged due to the lack of quality control by Align company, but Amain Hobbies exchanged and refunded them.
