Align 550L Frame Mounting Bolt (4)
These are the frame mounting bolts used with the Align T-Rex 550X. The frame has several unused mounting locations that can accept additional mounting bolts. I was bored so I put a T-Rex frame on a deflection rig and measured it with 10lbs of rotational load. The most effective locations to add these bolts were (1) Directly in front of the motor (2) Directly below the main gear (3) the out side mounting hole on the tail servo [use a washer].
Adding those 3 bolts reduced deflection by ~20%. Adding bolts 4-6 had no measurable effect.
