This is the AKA Racing Slash 1/8 Wheel Rear Wheel Adapter Kit, and is intended for use with the Traxxas Slash 1/10 short course truck. Designed by Mark Pavidis, these adapters allow the use of standard 1/8 wheels and tires on the Traxxas Slash truck. The use of standard 1/8 buggy tires and wheels substantially improves the handling of the truck and allows the user to take advantage of wheels and tires they may already have from their 1/8 Buggy. This also allows for a multitude of tires choices so the user can have the best tire for any track conditions that may come their way.
The adapters are made from high grade 7075 aluminum and hard coated for the ultimate in durability and weight savings. These adapters come with all necessary pieces for use and include AKA “SureGrip” 17mm nuts to keep the wheels securely on the hubs. “SureGrip” 17mm wheel nuts are made from 7075 and also feature hard anodizing plus a knurled rear face to grab the plastic of the wheel and stay put.
Use of the adapters requires no modifications to the truck and they can be installed and removed in just minutes. The adapters keep the 1/8 tires within the stock width of the truck and body clearance is no problem. Even the steering radius is kept the same.
