Airtronics SD-10G 10-Channel 2.4GHz FHSS Radio System (w/7 CH RX)
Having had this transmitter for a few years now flying both planes and helis, all I can say is brilliant! Yes it has it's quirks, and you do have to think outside the square sometimes to get it to do what you want, but it will do what you want! Programming is a breeze once you get your head around it, controls are simple, switches are solid, the ability to switch from mode 1 and mode 2 both electronically and hardware wise is great, saved a heap buying a mode 1 and just swapping everything over. The tensioning on the gimbals is great, really helps with the overall feel of the radio, the gimbals are smooth, the throttle "clicks" can be increased or decreased easily and help provide much more "feel" than the spektrums I've used. Feel in the hand is good, I have biggish hands and all the switches and dials are easily accessible. The functions are great and quick model memory selection is easy, and the ability to store more 10+ models is a bonus, not that I have more than 5 on there. I use it on phoenix flight sim and once you read the manual to know how to tell it to communicate with the sim it works flawlessly. This radio was and still is in many ways well ahead of it's time, it's a pity that it doesn't get as much recognition as it should. I have skin that normally eats metal and plastic but despite there having been some issues with the finish mine is still flawless once you rub the greasy paw prints off. If you want a radio that does EVERYTHING and helps you understand more about the hobby of flying do not hesitate to get it!
