E-flite Inverza 280 Basic Bind-N-Fly Electric Airplane

This was my second plane of 3, the first being the UMX Beast and 3rd being the large Carbon-Z Cub. This plane is nice but i sold it because i didnt enjoy flying it. It's unrealistically quick, too much so that it makes the plane feel like it lacks weight or momentum to throw around. With the beast and cub they both feel like they have weight to them which makes them do some pretty cool aerobatics but i found i couldnt do those things with the inverza because of its massive control surfaces. So i sold it to my buddy who doesnt try to do as much stunts and he toned the plane down with the remote. This plane will do things that really no other plane can do, roll rate, turning on a dime, extreme flat turns, so if your into that great, i am too, but just didnt like the extreme control of it. I do plan on buying the 280 sized byplane that is not yet out as i write this.

Very nice little airplane, I bought it to complement its 26 inch P-51 brother.... this can be flown slow or fast so its easier to fly than the P-51.... I would set the transmitter DR to about 50% for all control surfaces, which are huge and makes this plane very easy to maneuver... it will do barrel rolls like a whirling dervish. I like my planes to be a bit more nose heavy... but I set the balance point to the recommended so that it can do the 3D hover like a helicopter stunts... very light, gets bounced around in 5 knot gusts, but the control surfaces are so big its easy to compensate.... the gust dropped off on my first landing and the plane dropped 4 feet and hit the grass... flat on the landing gear without bending or dinging anything so its very easy to land....so light that even bad landings in grass should be OK... not enough weight to glide very far when landing, so, if you completely cut the engine put it in a fairly steep dive to keep the speed up, then level it 2 feet off the ground and let it settle in.... The P-51 needs a football field size area, this one doesn't need as much space... the forte of both these airplanes is that they're so easy to hand launch and relatively easy to land so you don't have to drive over to an airfield with a runway. The Inverza really is a "park flyer". The propeller and spinner are balance well enough that I won't change to an APC prop or toss out the spinner. Six minute flights with the stock battery but the battery compartment is so huge that you could use a bigger battery and get much longer flights if you want.... a nice plane when you're in a lazy mood and just want to take it easy at 20 mph. If you want an adrenaline rush fly either the Inverza or the P-51 at 50 or 60 mph.
