This was my first visit to the Boston Funfly and it was amongst the best of the year! The weather was very nice with temperatures in the 75-80 degree range. The flying field took a few flights to get used to as the tree line formed a wall as a backdrop, but soon after, the trees were not an issue at all. There were quite a number of pro pilots and a great number of local pilots there as well. In total, there were over 130 registered pilots, which was nice to see. The pro pilots showed off their talents for all of those who were in attendance. I must say the hospitality shown to us was second to none. The organizers went out of their way to welcome all of us and even treated us to a BBQ with all of the trimmings on Saturday night.
I was pleasantly surprised by all of the people that came up and introduced themselves to me who had known me from my posts on 3GX. I had the opportunity to meet a number of great people and was even able to help out a couple.
It was a great event, and I would recommend it to everyone.
