This is a RPM Toe-In Gauge, and is intended for use with 1/10 and 1/8 on and off road vehicles. If you are a hobbyist that enjoys R/C vehicles or an all out R/C racer or anywhere in between, this tool is a must for your toolbox! This toe-in gauge allows you to do trackside checks of the toe angles without removing the wheels! This gauge checks toe through the simple method of comparing the width of the wheels at the rear of the tire to the width of the wheels at the front of the tire! This gauge is accurate to within one half of a degree per side and closer, and can also be used to check legal width of off-road buggies and trucks. The gauge comes with a second thumbscrew hole to check narrower vehicles such as sedans as well.

RPM Toe-In Gauge
This is not a tool for someone who is looking for accuracy especially the on-road guys. I use it on my 1/10 scale off-road stuff and I have to fight with it every time because it slips or something else moves. It is also hard to see the lines that tells you how many degrees you are at. I have been contemplating trying to add some white-out or something to those lines to help me see them better. I have not priced the Hudy system but I would definitely recommend looking at something better before buying this system.

If you are running a high precision on road car this is not the best tool for perfect alignment, however if you are running off road and don't want to drag around a bunch of stuff this works very well for a check at the track, been using it for 15 years. put a touch of grease between the 2 rails so it slides easily and set the tension as you like.

If your on a budget get this guage. I wouldnt use it for on-road. I had this for 20 years then I got a Hudy for my 1/8th scale buggy. Was about 2 degrees off not bad really considering rims could have been warped,etc.. If your a hardcore racer get the hudy.

I use this with DE set up wheels. And unlike the others here I actually compared the reading with my hudy set up station. Reading was dead on. Little hard to read sure. But after you have been measuring for years you know by looking if it's close. I don't see how hard it is to use this dummy proof tool...

RPM Toe-In Gauge
It's a decent product for the off-road guys, however, as others have stated, this wouldn't suffice if you're a MAJORLY OCD type person in the road racing arena. Here's a better option for those of you who are sticklers about measurements, "to the T!"

ProTek RC 6" Digital Caliper w/LCD Display & Hard Case, (Part #: PTK-8290). Hope this helps, but I use BOTH!

A little weird to use at first but once you figure it out it does the job nicely.

Can't believe they still sell this lol. I got this many years ago, tried it a couple of times patiently and since then haven't even touched it. Biggest junk. But if you're below average racer, who just eyeballs things, don't have lots of set up knowledge, just bash around having fun, this is the tool for you.
There aren't many toe gauge other than using a full set up system unfortunately. But I recommend Arrowmax track width gauge to check toes as well. Very accurate, high quality and easy to use.
