Adjustable Settings
- Operation Mode – Select Forward/Brake (F/B) or Forward/Brake/Reverse (F/B/R) operation
- Drag Brake – Adjust automatic braking strength when the throttle trigger is returned to neutral
- Power Profile – Increase or decrease punch
- Drive Frequency – Adjust to create a smoother or more aggressive throttle feel
- Brake Frequency – Adjust to create a smoother or more aggressive brake feel
- Restore Default – Restore the factory default settings

Reedy Blackbox 800Z 2S Zero-Timing ESC
I race with this in 17.5 buggy and love it! It seems to have great punch. I like 2kHz drive frequency and Punch setting 5 (max). The out of box seetings are also good. Another thing to note, this push-button setup procedure was simple and easy to set... I really appreciated that. Comes with the 3 bank of capacitors which give them fast discharge capability and no stutters.

Bought three for my fleet of RC10,s. Big mistake. Two died after about 5 runs. They first became hard to turn on and impossible to program then died altogether. The third one now shuts off when landing after light jumps. Thought Reedy was a reputable brand. Don't waste your money and look elsewhere. Don't know if even worth having repaired.

doubtful reliability - first one lasted about 6 meets before failing. Was replaced, but replacement now starting to play up, ie doesn't always turn off properly (per others experience) and randomly applies throttle (luckily I've been holding it when this occurred!!)

I bought one 800z in January and sent it in for repair because the start button stopped working. Bought a second one in March for a different car and it stopped working the second time out. I am currently waiting for warranty repairs. Buyers beware ! Also should mention that I was warned about these issues beforehand. Thinking I should have listened.

I have to agree with the rest, the button sucks.
Mine made it around 7 race days before not working. The button works sometimes when pressing hard, impossible to program now.

ran this speedo for 1 night of racing on off button only works sometimes have to pull batt wires to turn it off !dont waste your money on reedy blackbox there junk! buy a hobbywing have 2 now perfect!

wanted a matching brand esc for my reedy motor the inboard on/off switch stop working after 1 month now I have to spend more money! don't trust this reedy esc made with shit quality parts from China.
