Viper R/C VST13.5 ROAR Spec Brushless Motor (13.5T)
Follow up to my previous review..heard from Viper today. A Nick from Viper stated he tested my motor and couldn't find anything wrong with it? Really? So it's normal for a motor to hit 160 degrees after 2 laps on a track then make a grinding noise and stop completely? He then went on to say that it's okay for a motor to run under 125 degrees for 5 consecutive track days, then all of a sudden shoot up to 160 for no reason..hmm, yea ok. Is this "Nick" seriously an employee/representative of Viper? How is a motor that ran perfect 5-6 times and then heats up and shuts down "okay"? So I can maybe run 1-2 laps one day and then maybe not at all the next? What a load of b.s. I have ever heard from a company. Will never buy any Viper products again. Shame too, I already have another VTX-10 esc coming this week. Guess that will go into the trash. Should of listened to the other five people at my track when they said ALL of their Viper systems had issues. One guy had a bad esc and the other four had their motors burn up. One guy's motor burned up after three hours for Christ Sakes! Horrible..never again.

Viper R/C VST13.5 ROAR Spec Brushless Motor (13.5T)
Mine went up in total smoke after about 9mos. Until then I was very satisfied with it, ran strong, temps were good and had zero issues. My gearing had been the same the whole time. As this stuff goes, it started smoking the second I dropped it for the first qualifier of a big regional race.
