These fans are good. They push a lot of air and the aluminum housing is nice and sturdy and does not flex. I replaced the ESC and Motor fans on my Taxxas Maxx with these because the original ones were bad quality and fan blades would break off with flexing during rough bashing. Only thing is I had to flip the + and - on the connector around for whatever reason.
This thing really blows out some air especially on a 7.4 bec setup. I have 2 of these and they are the best fans on the market to date.
A little noisy but this fan really moves a bunch of air to help keep my motor temps a little lower.
This fan looks great and pushes a lot of air. Unfortunately, it died on me after about a month and I only used it in a handful of carpet races. I even made sure to get any carpet fibers out of the fan blades after every heat. Will try something else.
*Update - AMain reached out and are sending me a replacement under warranty. Hopefully this one lasts longer. Will update review after some track time.
Excellent construction, perform great. I run them on all my 1/10th scales.
These provide the same airflow as the equally expensive plastic bodied fans but hold up better. A little heavier maybe but well worth it. In all my vehicles.
This fan rocks. It's kind of on the loud side but wow, it pushes some serious air. My Trinity 17.5 is incredibly cooler after a 8-10 minute run.
I bought 3 of these, for 2 of my TLR 22 5.0 buggy, one TLR Short Course Truck and they work as intended, i didnt realize after getting back into the hobby after 20yrs all that has changed, i have gone from RTR TLRs to kit builds... Great product, works as intended...
Update: 07/01/2022, i wanted to update anyone that was wondering about this fan, it works really really well i have no real overheating, well i have no overheating that i noticed... I am using them in my TLR 22 5.0 losi Buggy.
Got this because the blades on my stock Hobbywing fans tore off. Used this to replace it, fits great on the XR8. Does a great job of keeping my electronics cool, much better than the stock one even when it had blades on it! My only complaint was that the wire is kind of long but that's probably not an issue for most people.
I've bought 3 of these over the last 2 years or so, and I love them. The black on chrome look is great, and it's very solid and light. The fan itself blows ALOT of wind for it's size (I used to build custom PC's for a living... so, I know a good bit about tiny fans..), which I was very happy with. It isn't perfect.... it is loud for its size... but, I don't see why anybody should care about this. If it was loud enough to set off car alarms, or I had to scream to talk over, maybe i'd take an issue with it... but, I actually LIKE the fact that it's loud, because it makes it REALLY easy to tell if the fan stops spinning after a crash. I WILL buy again. Do I unplug this badboy when I connect my ESC to bluetooth? Yes. It's annoying to listen to if my car is just sitting there. Is my car running cooler and have all 3 of my fans stayed working after some serious impacts AND still manage to look good? Also yes. I'll take that trade-off all day long!
Fan really drops temps on my motors. Its a little loud, but I think that's because its spins at higher RPM's than some other fans. The extra length cable is really appreciated. I've always been able to reach my receiver for power.
I added this to my TLR 2 5.0 Elite and the black and silver aluminum housing perfectly matches allnof the stock aluminum on the car, plus the Protek 160T servo case and the Hobbywing XR10 Pro G2 ESC / motor combo. Everything looks like it was designed to go together, and the fan just topped it all off. Plus it works great and moves a ton of air. I installed the blue version on my Tekno EB410.2 and its awesome too...
These seem to cool really well. I just can’t get one to last more than a month. Going to try a different brand.
The Traxxas fans I had for my Traxxas Hoss were a bit underwhelming and broke blades off less than a month after getting them. I installed these fans and the difference was incredible. These blow double the air the Traxxas ones did, and because they’re aluminum-cased, they are a lot more durable. I have not complaints.
Very powerful fan. It keeps the whole car cool. I highly recommend them at this price point.
If u wanna be cool this fan will do the job works great
It works and looks great but on my first fan the wire didn't hold up on one fan I bought. And my second one didn't start upon turning on my car on one full lipo pack suddenly. Gonna have to buy another one, I guess oh well.
Fan is good, but wire is flimsy and breaks easily.
A little loud, but no more than other brand motor fans I have heard. Pushes a ton of air, and keeps the motor cool even on long practice runs. Sturdy construction, and looks great. I've run over a dozen batteries packs with it and no problems yet. I have it installed in my losi 22 5.0 AC with 17.5 motor.
This fan will take a beating and keep on pushing cool air over your RC electronics. I use this fan on every surface RC vehicle I own, from 1/8 scale off-road to 1/10 off-road. Best fan on the market at a reasonable price point!
