All of our screws are Grade 12.9 black oxide alloy steel. They have a tensile strength of over 180,000 psi. They are the strongest screws you can buy for our R/C applications. Unfortunately alloy steel is not rust proof. Titanium and stainless steel hardware offer rust resistance but they are much weaker and prone to breaking, bending or stripping out. Egon - Rating: Verified Owner Monday, February 22, 2010 These looked fine when new, then after some time.... NOT! The screws in the interior all got some rust which isn't good for the drivers. The ones on the suspension and chassis underside got so ruined with rust, that I had to use my dremel to cut a fine channel and use a flat screwdriver in allmost all of them.
