Really awesome accessory. The capacitance is 5600µF. I wasn't expecting it to be as big as it is, but it is still very, very light. I use a castle creations Mamba Monster ESC with a built in BEC and a JR Z9100T in my brushless muggy. I also have a Airtronics MT-4. When I look at the telemetry on my transmitter, the voltage will drop significantly when I steer the car to the left or the right. If I jerk the wheel of the transmitter to the right or left, the voltage periodically drops so low that the receiver no longer has enough power to send a telemetry signal to the transmitter, so the transmitter will, for a second, start its low voltage alarm. With the capacitor installed however, this problem goes almost entirely away. The voltage will still periodically dip just as low, but only if I am purposefully turning left and right as fast as I can. It's hard to make the voltage dip that low with the capacitor installed, and it's difficult to keep the voltage above the alarm voltage without the capacitor installed. |
