What a engine!!!!! I've run this thing twice a week all summer long including 3 weekend events, with 3 A-Main finishes two 1st and a 3rd. Engine now has over 10 GALLONS in it , still has lots of compression and runs strong! 7min run times, 250 to 280 temps. Great motor! Great price!

only issue i have found is the rear bearing doesn't last. 1st engines bearing went with around 10 litres on it. The 2nd engine went with around 5 litres on it. i have had 2 seperate engines bearings fail as well as 2 other engines owned by other drivers have the same issue. The rear bearing wasn't expensive to replace but the piston and sleeve that was destroyed was.

All I have to say is this motor is probably the best 3-port race engine out there... I got this motor for free from a guy at my lhs and put a pinch on it and all I have to say is it will keep up with everyother motor out there... It doesn't have the best run times with mine getting about 7-8 min a tank down at revelation raceway but thats plenty fine with me. While i do only race the novice class this motor has aleady helped me win a race and place top 3 everytime out... I love this little motor[]

I love this motor!!! I've got 3 gallons on mine and it'll keep up with any os motor out there. Some of the tuning issues could be attributed to the fuel they're using. I use Sidewinder 30% strike team fuel(purple stuff) and os p3 plugs. My motor runs around 250 and gets around 8 minutes a tank. Would definetly recommend this to anyone.

Brilliant little engine. Can already feel the power of it and it only has 10 tanks on it :O . Very affordable compared to other engines too :)

I run a Kyosho ST-RR with this engine and it is super fast awsome engine y had a novarossi 528x and it was shit. I have an o.s. v-spec and it is the same but lower price. Buy this engine is awsome one of the best engines I have ever run. Best performance vs. price

Forget the O.S. Save $50 and buy a werks B5. The reedy motor is good. I tuned on up the other day and it ran just as fast down the straight as the Speed and he could almost triple out of a very difficult rhythm section. It temped at 260*F running O'Donnell 30% fuel. Two gallons through it and has not flamed out once, since I tuned it.

I race a Reedy motor, and all you need to do is seal it,and don't be scared to run it hot. Just like every other motor you need to do some homework and tune it properly. I called Associated's tech support and they are awsome and very helpful. They said to make power it runs between 270-300 all day long, and if you tune it by temp it will never run right, so do some homework, tune it correctly and save your self 100+ dollars. Buy a Reedy. I'll be buying another one very soon.

Great engine, especially for the price. Idles flawlessly and tunes easily. Nearly 10 minute run time in my Truggy! Will buy another soon!

this engine is great, its a little picky at first. i was running it with the o.s p4 super hot and it was a pain to tune so i went with a med plug and boom nice idle and everything but mines runs at 210 F a little rich, it has great bottom and top end.

So far so good. Very easy to run in and not one flame out. Just came back from a 2 day offroad race meeting and this engine (owned by another driver) TQ`d and won both Buggy and Truggy classes. It won these against pretty much every engine manufacturer you can name and in the Truggy final it won by 13 laps. Very nice engine for anyone thinking of purchasing. O.S. P4 plug works very well with this engine.

The motor gets decent economy and when tuned for my liking does everything I need it to. The problem is, that temp in which it performs is around 260-280. It is much different than other motors I've had in that respect. This probably leads to the mixed reviews. Either way, I willl run it until it blows up. Another thing I will try next is going up a tooth on the clutch bell as the top end is a little flat, but power is smooth throughout so that is nice. It is hard for me to give it above a[]

What are you talikng about! Both of mine run awesome. Easily kept pace with a Vspec and Ninja last weekend. -//- Ryans 121 was not box stock. Team drivers here who attended said that his engine was easily hitting 4000 more prm at the top than any toher 121. It is modded. -//- The bottom end needs to be on the rich side to get the most out of it. -//- Yes anywhere between 240 -280 is what this motor likes. I run it in my truggy and it has plenty of scoot. Great bottom end. -//- By the way, the ma[]

Got this motor about a month and a half ago and so far have put about a gallon and half in it. had to send it back to AE cause it seemed like the rod already went out but i guess they said it was fine and they sent it back to me. I put it in my xray 808 and with this motor and the ae 2035 pipe my car weights 3280g. and i can keep up with my buddys losi 8 with a toro. its neck and neck on the straights. This thing is super fast. BUT it seems to me like it runs how. it runs 280 for me. some pe[]

I found this engine very easy to break-in, although when I took it to the track, putting a race tune on it was difficult. This engine has a nasty bottom-end lean bog, even when the needles are set pukingly rich. Furthermore, no matter how rich you get it, the temps always seem way too high. Team Associated's race team manager, Brent Theilke, had this to say: "Here's how mine tuned in Southern California: Plug = O.S. P4 Pipe = Factory Team 2035 Restrictor = 7 mm Head Shims = 0.50 mm []

i agree with that, i run one i my hyper 9 and just last weekend at nitro pit track i flogged a v-spec, GRP, Orion. GO, BOSS, NINJA JX, NINJA MR -//- DID ANY OF YOU GUYS EVER THINK THAT SOME PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO TUNE A ENGINE ( RYAN MAIFIELD) and some don't ( MUGEN RACER) LOL. I Run This engine in my Kyosho and it flies past engines such as V-Spec, Orion, GRP, Castor, GO. -//- nah most people wan't a engine that will last more than a v-spec ( 1 - 2 race weekends ), and maybe you got it mixed around[]

I don't know what you are all talking about. This engine is awesome. I run it in my truggy and it has more than enough power to keep up with pricier engines. I am not the fastest driver around, but last weekend I was blowing past VSpecs, Orions, and Novarossis. Im gonna get one of these for my buggy really soon...
